University Grants Commission (UGC), under Ministry of Human Resource Development, is recruiting 100 candidates (approx) for the post of “Lower Division Clerks (LDC)”. The selection of the candidates will be through Open Competitive Examination. Eligible and Interested candidates may apply Online only from the official website of UGC. Ref.No. F. 5-1/99 (Admn.I/C). Qualification norms and criteria in brief details is given below —

LOWER DIVISION CLERK
Number of Vacancies: 100 Nos. (Approximately). Reservation of the post for reserved candidates will be as per norms.

Educational Qualification (as on 01-01-2013): Matriculation (Class 10) pass or higher qualification from recognized board/ University.

Age Limit: Candidates must be within 18yrs to25yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.1900 plus other allowances as per norms.

UGC will hold an Open Competitive Examination for selection of the candidates. The examination will comprise of a written objective type examination followed by a Skill Test. (No typing test will be held for physically challenged candidate who is declared medically permanent unfit to pass the type test by a Medical Board).

Written examination will be objective type multiple choice paper  on – General Awareness, General Intelligence, Numerical Ability and General English. Total marks – 200 and will be of Matriculation level.
The written examination is likely to be held at Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Bhopal, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai.

Qualified candidates will be called for Skill/ Typing test. A candidate will have to qualify the skill/typing test at the speed of 30 words per minute in English or Hindi as per the option exercised by the candidate
The skill test will be conducted at Delhi/NCR and on computers only.

How to Apply: Candidates may apply Online only from the official website of University Grant Commission — www.ugc.ac.in  under the link http://ugcldcrectt13.in. (Live url is given below)

The application form is in two parts, i.e Part-I and Part-II. After submission of Part-I registration, candidates will be asked to pay Examination fee (prescribed below). Only after depositing the Examination fee, candidates may proceed to Part-II registration.
SC/ST/PH/ Female candidates of any categories, may skip the examination fee details since Examination fee is not applicable for them.

After successful submission of Online application, a system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it on plain paper and retain it safely for future correspondence.
There is no need to send any documents/ print-out form to anywhere. All the verification of original documents and testimonials will be done during Skill Test, if called.

During Online application, candidates will require to upload their scan image of passport size photo and signature. Candidates must mention their valid email id because UGC will send the Admit Card to the eligible candidates to the email ids of the candidates.
However, Admit card can be also downloaded from the commission’s website in due course.

Examination Fee: Rs.300/- for General Candidates and Rs.200 for OBC candidates (No fee for SC/ST/PH and Female candidates of any categories)
Fee should be deposited in the UGC’s Account with State Bank of India after completing the Part I of registration process. The candidates are required to fill the details of depositing the examination fee in the designated account. As such candidates are advised to deposit the requisite fee before attempting to fill the Step II of the online application.

Important Dates: —
Last date of Part-I Registration: 18th June,2013 (midnight)
Last date of Part-II Registration: 26th June,2013 (midnight)

Examination fee can be deposited within 22/06/2013 during banking hours of State Bank of India.
