Mazagon Dock Limited is recruiting 233 candidates for the posts of “Technical Staff” and “Operatives” in various trades in Skilled and Semi-Skilled Grade. 9. Electrician: 16 Nos
10. Electric Crane Operator: 13 Nos.

12. Carpenter: 15 Nos.
13. Comp. Welder: 15 Nos.
14. Rigger: 20 Nos.
15. Machinist: 6 Nos.
16. Driver (Ex-servicemen): 2 Nos.
SEMI SKILLED GRADE VACANCIES ARE AS FOLLOWS —
17. Utility Hand: 42 Nos.
18. Chipper Grinder: 34 Nos.

Educational Qualification:
Jr. Draughtsman: SSC or equivalent and NAC Examination in the trade of ‘Draughtsman’ in Mechanical Stream
Pharmacist: SSC/ HSC with full time D. Pharm / B. Pharrm
Jr. QC Inspector (Mech./ Elect.) / Jr. Planner Estimator (Mech./Elect./ Electronics): SSC/ HSC with time three years Diploma or Degree in respective discipline or Marine Engineering with aggregate 55% marks.
Engine Driver: Certificate of competency (Licence to act as Engineer) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 3 yrs experience of operating tugs from 565 BHP and above as Licence to act Engineer & should possesses knowledge of rectifying defects, overhauling and up keeping engine room.
Pipe Fitter: SSC or equivalent with NAC examination passed in the trade of Pipe Fitter or Plumber.
Electrician: SSC or equivalent with NAC examination passed in the trade of ‘Electrician’
Electric Crane Operator: SSC and NAC examination passed in the Electrician trade. Candidates have one year experience in MDL/ Ship-building industry as Electric Crane Operator may apply for the post of Electric Crane Operator directly.
Painter/ Carpenter/ Composite Welder/ Rigger: Class VIII pass and NAC examination passed in the respective trades.
Driver (Ex-servicemen): SSC or equivalent and put in at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union. Candidates should hold valid Heavy duty driving licence issued by RTO.
Utility Hand: SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand for minimum period of one year may apply for the said post directly.
Chipper Grinder: SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year may apply for the said post directly.

Age Limit: between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01-09-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Pay Scale:
For Skilled Grade vacancies—Rs.7500/- and Rs.7575/- per month in first and second year respectively.
For Semi-Skilled Grade vacancies—Rs.6000/- and Rs.6060 per month in the first and second year respectively.
The engagement to the above posts will be on contractual basis and the contract for all the above categories will be for a maximum period of two years.
