National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is recruiting 2600 “Assistant” on behalf of four Public Sector General Insurance Companies, viz – Natioanal Insurance Company Ltd, The New India Assurance Company Ltd, Oriental Insurance Company Ltd and United India Insurance Company Ltd. ASSISTANT 
Number of Vacancies: 2600 Nos. (General – 1385; SC—310; ST—184; OBC—721). Reservation of posts for PWD and Ex-Servicemen are as per Govt. rules.

VACANCIES IN STATE WEST BENGAL (including four Insurance companies): Total — 132 Nos. (General – 55; SC—22; ST—4; OBC—32)

Qualification Required: Graduate from recognised University OR Higher Secondary (Class XII) pass/ equivalent with 60% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD and Ex-Serviceman) AND Candidates must have knowledge of Regional Language of the State where they opt to apply for.
Candidates must have proper knowledge of Computer application.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 28yrs as on 30/06/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.7600 — 21050 plus other allowances as per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be made by National Insurance Company Limited through Written Examination, Interview and Computer Proficiency Test.
Written Examination will be of Objective type on following topics — Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge.  Total marks – 250 and duration – 120 minutes. Question paper will be set in English and Hindi only.  There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Qualified candidates from Written Examination will be called for Interview of 15 marks.
Finally candidates who have qualified written examination and interview will go for Computer Proficiency Test.

Call letters for Written Examination will be available for eligible candidates which can be downloaded from the companies’ website in due course.

How to Apply: Application can be submitted Online only from the official website of NICL — www.nationalinsuranceindia.com (live url is given below)
During Online application form, candidates will require to upload their scan passport size photograph and Signature.

After successful submission of Online application form, the system would generate a bank challan in triplicate wherein relevant particulars of the Candidate are mentioned and should take a printout of the challan immediately.
With the printout of the challan, the Candidate should visit the nearest branch of State Bank of India to deposit the appropriate fees (prescribed below) in cash only in Account no.32968716721 in favour of “NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD”. 
Fee payment will be accepted from 18th May 2013 to 12th June 2013
Application Fee: Rs.200/– for General Male candidates; Rs.100/– for General Female Candidates and Rs.50/– for SC/ST/PWD and Ex-Serviceman candidates (male/female).
Note: Candidates must add Rs.20/- additionally as Bank’s service charge during payment of Application Fee.

N.B: After 3 days from date of payment of fees, the candidate can check their application status in the website and take a printout of the complete application and fees payment challan which should be retained by them for future reference. There is no need to send any application to anywhere.
