West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBSED) is inviting application for the post of Assistant Teachers (Primary Teacher) in Govt. Aided/ Sponsored Primary/ Junior Schools available in the State. The Advertisement was first issued on 19th Oct 12 now the Application form for the same is released through different bank branches. Eligible candidates may collect the Application Form at cash payment of Rs.100 (Rs.25- for SC/ST). Qualification Required: Higher Secondary pass with 50% marks and 2yrs Diploma in Elementary Education or Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Higher Secondary with 45% marks with 2yrs Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE, OR Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education or Ability to read, write and speak in the language relating to the medium for which applicants wishes to apply. Higher Secondary pass candidates under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks or Graduate (pass) done candidates WITHOUT any Diploma in Elementary Education or B.El.Ed MAY ALSO APPLY but in such cases, if candidates is appointed, then he/she shall acquire the professional qualification within a period of two (2) years from the year of appointment.

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01/01/2012. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Qualified candidates from TET will be called for Viva-voce/ Interview.

How to Apply: Information Booklet-cum-Application Form can be collected from different branches of Authorized banks on payment of Rs.100/– as Application fee (Rs.25 in case of SC/ST candidates).
Distribution of Application Form will begin from dated 16th Nov to 30th Nov 2012.

Last Date of Application: Application form is to be submitted in concerned bank branches on or before 30th November 2012.
