Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Hyderabad, is recruiting 800 Artisans in the following trades — Machinist, Turner, Fitter, Blacksmith, Welder, Carpenter and Electrician. Employment Notice No. HY/01/2013. Interested and eligible candidates may submit their application through Online system from the official website of BHEL. Name of the Post: Artisan
Number of Vacancies: 800 Nos. (Gen—400; OBC—216; SC—128; ST—56). Out of total 116 Nos. for Ex-servicemen and 32 for PWD candidates.
Break up of vacancies as per Trade wise is as follows —
- Machinist: 245 Nos.
- Turner: 164 Nos.
- Fitter: 285 Nos.
- Blacksmith: 5 Nos.
- Welder: 59 Nos.
- Carpenter: 5 Nos.
- Electrician: 37 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ SSC pass and must posses National Trade Certificate (NTC) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trades of Machinist/ Turner/ Fitter/ Blacksmith/ Welder/ Carpenter/Electrician with not less than 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates only) in both NTC and NAC.
Knowledge of Telugu language is desirable not compulsory.
Age Limit: Maximum 27yrs as on 01-09-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Consolidated Pay and Pay Scale: Rs.11000/- per month will be paid in the first year of training period as temporary employee (Artisan). Upon successful completion of the training, candidates will be absorbed in the regular establishment as Artisan Grade-IV and pay scale will be Rs.11700 – 23000/- with applicable allowances.
Candidates’ selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. Written Test will be tentatively hold on 10/11/2013. On basis of Written Examination, candidates will be called for Personal Interview.

After successful submission of the online Application form, the Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it on plain paper and must send it to the below address along with enclosures such as – Qualification Certificate, Trade/ Apprenticeship certificate, Caste Certificate, Disability certificate (for PWD), Discharge certificate (for ex-servicemen), Age proof certificate (Matriculation certificate can be given), Fee challan (BHEL Copy) receipt and any other relevant documents.
Application Fee: Rs.125/- is payable by the General and OBC candidates through any branches of State Bank of India into Power Jyoti Account No.32838381735 at Ramachandrapuram 502032, Medak (Dist.) (Branch Code No.10689) in favour of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad.

Candidates must enclose the Fee Challan (BHEL copy) with print-out Acknowledgement Slip for fee payment verification.
No Application Fee required for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
