Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is recruiting 460 persons for the posts of “Agricultural Officer”. Notification No. 28/2012. Candidates with Bachelor degree in Agriculture may apply for the post. Application is to be made Online only from the official website of Tamil Nadu PSC. The eligibility norms and brief information is given below—

TAMIL NADU PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (TN PSC) INVITING ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE POSTS OF “AGRICULTURAL OFFICER (EXTENSION)”. NOTIFICATION NO. 28/2012

1. Agricultural Officer (Extension) : 460 Nos. (including 6nos. C/F vacancies)
(2011—2012)(Code No.1678)

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Agricultural and candidates must posses speaking, writing and reading knowledge of Tamil language (Must have read Tamil as a subject in School/ Degree level)

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 30yrs as on 01/07/2012. (No age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes). Refer the advt. for details.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination of 300 marks and Interview of 40 marks.
Examination centre will be at — Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli.
Written Examination will be on dated—28/10/2012 from 10AM to 1 PM.

Examination Fee: Rs.125 as Examination fee and Rs.50 as Application cost; total Rs.175. Reserved candidates may pay only Rs.50 as Application cost. Application/ Examination fee can be made Online or Offline as per wish.
For Offline fee payment; candidates can deposit the prescribed fee in Post Office or Indian Bank by Fee payment challan. Fee payment challan will be available to the candidates when they will successfully finished making online application/ registration.

Candidate can avail of the facility of one time Registration on payment of Rs.50/- towards Registration fee. The registration shall be valid for a period of Five years from the date of one time registration. Those who have registered in the one time registration system and paid the registration fee of Rs.50/- and received the registration ID need not pay the application fee for a period of 5 years from the date of registration even if he applies for any other posts, subsequently notified by the Commission. But those candidates shall pay examination fee if applicable. Refer the Advt. for details.

How to Apply: Apply Online from the official website of the commission’s — http://www.tnpsc.gov.in
After successful submission of online application form, a system generated Application No. and Password will appear as well as Fee payment Challan will be available (if opt for offline payment). Candidates should print-out the generated application and retain safely for future use.
Do not send any application/ documents to the commission.

Last Date of Online Application: 12th September 2012 (Midnight). Application fee can be made through Post Office/ Bank — 14th September 2012.
