Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)— Alloy Steels Plant, Durgapur, as per Advt. No. ASP/001/2012, is recruiting 22 persons for the post of – Operator-cum-Technician, Operator-cum-Technician Trainee and Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee. Diploma in Engineering and ITI pass candidates may apply. Details below—

1. Operator-cum-Technician: 4 Nos. (Gen-3; OBC-4)
Post Code—01
Discipline—Boiler Operation and Maintenance
Qualification: Diploma in Engineering in discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Chemical and First class certificate of Competency as Boiler attendant.
Age: within 30 yrs.
Pay: Rs.9160—Rs.13150

2. Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: 8 Nos. (Gen-4; SC-1; OBC-2; OH-1)
Discipline and Eligibility—
(I) Ultrasonic Testing (Post Code-02A): Diploma in Engineering in discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Chemical and a Certificate of proficiency as Ultrasonic Tester.
(II) Spark Testing (Post Code: 02B): Diploma in Engineering in discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Chemical and must have atleast one year of working experience as Spark tester in any steel plant.
(III) Chemical Analysis (Post Code-02C): M.Sc in Chemistry and one year of experience in different types of testing eg- wet testing, OEs, XRF etc in steel plant.
Training: First two years will be a training period.
Pay: consolidated stipend at first year of training will be Rs.8250 and Second year- Rs.9350. on successful completion of training, regular pay will be Rs.9160—Rs.13150
Age: within 28yrs.

3. Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: 10 Nos. (Gen-7; SC-1; OBC-2)
Post Code—03
Discipline—Pulpit Operation/ Manipulator Operation, Crane Operation
Qualification: Madhyamik pass and must have done I.T.I.
Desirable–  one year experience in Crane Operation/ pulpit Operation / Manipulator Operation in steel plant.
Training: First two years of job will be training period.
Pay: Consolidated stipend during first and second year—Rs.6600 and Rs.7700. after completion of Training—Rs.8630—Rs.12080
Age: within 28yrs.

Age relaxation: Age will be counted as on dated 1/4/2012. Relaxation—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5 yrs and Others—as per norms.

Selection steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Test which will be of Objective and may organised in different centres at Kolkata/ selected city.

Application Fee: Candidate willing to apply for the posts will have to pay Application fee as prescribed below—
Operator-cum- Technician & Operator cum Technician Trainee: Rs.250 (Rs.50 for SC/ST/PH (OH))
Attendant –cum- Technician Trainee: Rs.150 (Rs.50 for SC/ST/PH (OH))
