ASSAM PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (ASSAM PSC) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 22 POSTS OF INSPECTOR OF LEGAL METROLOGY, PRESERVATION OFFICER, LECTURER IN GRAPHICS AND DIRECTOR OF ECONOMICS & STATISTICS. LAST DATE — 06/08/2016.
1. Inspector of Legal Metrology: 19 Nos. (OC-12, OBC/MOBC-05, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics as one of the subjects or in Engineering
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 43 years as on 03/03/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.8,000/- Rs.35,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4300/-
2. Preservation Officer: 01 Nos. (OC-01)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Arts/Science preferably Major in History/Chemistry and Diploma in two courses in Care and Conservation of books/Manuscripts.
Candidates should have Certificate in Archives Administration or Record management, preferably Archives Administration
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 43 years as on 03/03/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.8,000/- Rs.35,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4500/-
3. Lecturer in Graphics: 01 Nos. (SC-01)
Educational Qualification: At least 55% marks in Master of Fine Arts in Graphics and preference should be given to the candidates who qualified in U.G.C NET or SLET.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 43 years as on 03/03/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.8,000/- Rs.35,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5100/-
4. Director of Economics & Statistics: 01 Nos. (OC-01)
Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class Master Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or its equivalent OR
Degree with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as a subject and a Diploma obtained after at least two years Post Graduate Training in Statistics.
Desirable: Doctorate or other Research Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics
Experience: At least 10 years experience in Statistical works/investigation/research
Age Limit: Not less than 35 years or or more than 45 years as on 03/03/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.12,000/- Rs.40,000/- and Grade Pay Rs.7400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Screening Test and Viva-voce Interview.
