Bangiya Gramin Vikash Bank (BGVB), West Bengal, is recruiting 141 Nos. Officer Scale – III, Officer Scale – II (General Banking/ IT/ Law Officer), Officer Scale – I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates who qualified the Common Written Examination (CWE) for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 may apply for the post. Application form can be submitted Online only. Qualification norms and information in brief is given below —
1. Officer Scale – III: 3 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience: minimum 5yrs experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
2. Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): 17 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—3; ST—1; OBC—5). Out of them 1nos. PWD (OC)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience: 2yrs experience as an officer in an Bank or Financial Institution.
3. Officer Scale-II (Information Technology): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Degree in Electronic/ Communication/ Computer Science/ IT or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience: One year in relevant field.
4. Officer Scale-II (Law Officer): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Degree in Law or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience: 2yrs as an officer in an Bank or Financial Institution.
5. Officer Scale – I: 87 Nos. (Gen—45; SC—13; ST—6; OBC—23). Out of them 2nos. PWD (OC)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline or equivalent. Candidates must have proficiency in local language (i.e. Bengali)
Experience: Nil
6. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 31 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—5; ST—2; OBC—8). Out of the 1nos. PWD(OC) and 4nos Ex-Serviceman.
Qualification: Degree in any discipline or equivalent. Candidates must have proficiency in local language (i.e. Bengali)
Experience: Nil
Essential Requirement: Candidates must have appeared and qualified the Common Written Examination (CWE) of RRBs conducted in September 2012 and must have scored the Qualifying Standard Score. For TWS and cut-offs, refer the officially released advertisement (Live link given below).
N.B: Candidates must have obtained the above mentioned prescribed qualification on or before 01-06-2012.
Age Limits:—
For Officer Scale- III: Below 40 years
For Officer Scale- II: Above 21 years – Below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I: Above 18 years – Below 28 years
For Office Assistant: Between 18 years and 28 years
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 5yrs; OBC candidates—3yrs; PH candidates—10yrs; Widow/ divorcee women—9yrs (for Office Assistant only) and Others—as per norms.
Pay scales: —
Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Rs.7200 — 19300.
Officer JMG Scale-I: Rs.14500— 25700
Officer MMG Scale-II: Rs.19400— 28100
Officer MMG Scale-III: Rs.25700—31500
Selected candidates for the post of Office Assistant (multipurpose) will be on probation for a period of one year and 2 years for the posts in Officers rank.
On basis of performance in IBPS, a shortlist will be prepared. The shortlisted candidates will be then called for Personal Interview. The total marks for Interview will be 30.
The Interview will be held at BERHAMPUR, DISTRICT- MURSHIDABAD, WEST BENGAL and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters.
Shortlist of the candidates and call letters will be available at the Bank’s website in due course. Call letter will be also issued to the candidates through Post/ Courier.
Application fee: Candidates must pay the Application fee through CBS at any of the Branches of Bangiya Gramin Vikash Bank , by means of a Payment challan available in the Bank’s website.
Prescribed Fee Amount: Rs.100 (for all posts) for all others and Rs.20/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Candidates should first deposit the prescribed amount of Application fee in the bank and then should proceed to fill the application.
After final submission of online application form; system generated Registration slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out the generated form and retain safely for future use. There is no need to send any application or documents to the bank.
Verification of documents, Registration Slip, Fee payment challan will be made during Interview, if called.
