Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Personnel Division, is inviting application for one year Apprenticeship Training in the trades of – Mechanical Engg., Automobile Engg., Lab Technician, X-ray Technician and Opthalmic Technician. Total vacancies—18 Nos. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See below). Qualification norms and brief details are given below—
1. Mechanical Engineering: 08 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with not less than 50% marks.
2. Automobile Engineering: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Automobile Engineering with not less than 50% marks.
3. Med. Lab Technician: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Vocational course certificates in the trade in 10+2 (vocational) schooling.
4. X-ray Technician: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Vocational course certificates in the trade in 10+2 (vocational) schooling.
5. Opthalmic Technician: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Vocational course certificates in the trade in 10+2 (vocational) schooling.
Note: Candidates who have already undergone apprentice training elsewhere shall not be considered. Candidates who have completed more than three years from the date of passing Diploma/10+2 vocational H.S.C examination are also not eligible.
Duration of Training (for all trades/discipline): One year.
Stipend During Training : For Sl.No. 1 & 2— Rs.2530/-p.m. and for Sl.No. 3 to 5— Rs.1970/-p.m.
Age: Not less than 18 years.
Candidates’ selection: If the number of applicants applied is more, the selection will be restricted to those with high percentage of marks in SSC, plus vocational course certificate and Diploma as assessed suitable and candidates who have recently completed the course.

Also enclose one additional passport size photograph and one self-addressed envelope of size 200 mm x 110mm (without postal stamp)
Superscribe the top of the application containing envelope with – “APPLICATION FOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN BARC”.
