 Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Personnel Division, is inviting application for 279 “Stipendiary Trainee” Category-II in various Discipline/ Trades, for Training in BARC, Mumbai and its various units all over India.   1. Plant Operator: 69 Nos. 
  2. Laboratory: 41 Nos. 
  3. Library Science: 4 Nos. 
  4. Chemical Plant Operator: 7 Nos. 
  5. Fitter: 17 Nos. 
  6. Mill Wright: 3 Nos. 
  7. Machinist: 13 Nos. 
  8. Welder: 9 Nos. 
  9. Turner: 4 Nos. 
  10. A/C Mechanic: 24 Nos. 
  11. Instrumentation: 7 Nos. 
  12. Electrical: 61 Nos. 
  13. Electronics: 09 Nos. 
  14. Draughtsman (Mechanical): 10 Nos. 
  15. Lathe CNC Operator: 1 Nos. 

Educational Qualification/ Technical Qualification:
1. Plant Operator: Higher Secondary (HSC) in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.
2. Laboratory: HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology subjects OR HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory from ITI/NCVT.
3. Library Science: HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects (Certificate course in Library Science and experience in Library will be preferred at the discretion of this Research Centre) OR Library Trade Certificate from ITI/NCVT.

4. For Posts in Serial No.04 to 15: HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in relevant Trades from ITI/ NCVT (2 years duration course) OR ITI of one year duration course plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 22 years as on 10/09/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Physical Standards of the candidates:
Minimum Height : 160 cms. Minimum weight : 45.5 Kg (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit)

Stipend during Training period: Rs.6200/- per month for the first year and Rs.7200/- per month for the Second year.
Duration of Training Period: 2 years.

Candidates’ Selection:
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination of one hour duration and will comprise of objective (multiple) type questions. The syllabus for the said examination will be based on subjects at SSC/HSC/ITI level as the case may be. Those candidates qualifying in the written Examination shall be short-listed for interview.
Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview and no weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination.

After successful submission of Online Application form, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip and must retain it safely for future use. There is no need to send the print-out to BARC.
The testimonials in originals and print-out of the Registration slip will be required to produce during Written Test/ Interview.
