Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 118 posts of Junior Stenographer, Stenographer, Upper Division Clerk, Senior Technician and Technical Assistant (Lab). BIS INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 118 POSTS OF JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER, STENOGRAPHER, UPPER DIV. CLERK, SENIOR TECHNICIAN AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (LAB). LAST DATE — 01.02.2016

 

1. Junior Stenographer: 23 Nos. (UR-12, Sc-03, St-02, OBC-06)
Educational Qualification: Graduate with One Year Diploma/Certificate in Computers and shorthand speed of 80 words per minute candidates should be able to transcribe in 50 minutes (English dictation) and in 65 minutes (Hindi
dictation) in English or in Hindi and Good knowledge of Computer.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum- 27 years as on Last date of application form
Pay Scale: Rs 5200/- Rs.20, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

2. Stenographer: 11 Nos. (SC-05, ST-05, PWD (VH)-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree and shorthand test in English or Hindi comprising dictation test at 100 words per minute for ten minutes
Candidates should be able to transcribe in 40 minutes (English dictation) and in 55 minutes (Hindi dictation) and should possess good knowledge of Computer.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum- 30 years as on Last date of application form
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

3. Upper Division Clerk: 25 Nos. (SC-09, OBC-13 ,PWD (VH, HH, OH)- 03)
Educational Qualification: Graduate
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum- 27 years as on Last date of application form
Pay Scale: Rs 5200/- Rs.20, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

4. Senior Technician: 17 Nos. (UR-09, SC-02, ST-02, OBC-04)
Discipline — Mechanical: 07 posts (Fitter-1; Welder-2; Plumber-1; Carpenter-2; Air-conditioning-1); Electrical: 08 posts (Electrician-7; Wireman-1) and Civil (Mason): 02 posts
Educational Qualification: Matric or equivalent; Certificate from ITI in the trade of Electrician / Air-Conditioning/Mechanic (Diesel Engine) or its equivalent, two years’ practical experience in the respective trade after having obtained the ITI Certificate or ITI Certificate in the trade of Fitter / Carpenter / Plumber / Wireman / Welding, preferably having also passed Welders qualifying tests as per IS 7318 or its equivalent, two years practical experience in the respective trade after having obtained the ITI Certificate.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum- 27 years as on Last date of application form
Pay Scale: Rs 5200/- Rs.20, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

5. Technical Assistant (Lab): 42 Nos. (UR-21, SC-07 ST-04, OBC-10)
Discipline — Mechanical: 07, Electrical: 15, Chemical: 12 Civil: 02, Microbiology: 06
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Microbiology as one of the main subject) with
minimum 60% marks (50% for SC and ST) or three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil/Chemical with minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC and ST)
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum- 27 years as on Born not earlier than 31.01.1986
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through on-line Exam / Skill Test in Shorthand.  Practical Trade Test will be conduct for Senior Technician and Trade Test / Interview for Technical Assistant (Lab).

On-line test will conduct on 21.02.2016

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of (BIS)

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through On-line mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. See officially released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SCS/STS/PWDS/ WOMEN/ EX-SERVICE MAN CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO (BIS) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
