Border Security Force (BSF), New Delhi is inviting application form from the eligible Male / Female candidates for recruitment to 196 combatised posts of – Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer), Head Constable (Ministerial) and Constable (Daftry). The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Educational norms and number of vacancies are as follows —
1. ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER)
Number of Vacancies: 25 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—6; SC—3; ST—13)
Qualification: Intermediate or Higher Secondary (10+2). Candidates must have Shorthand speed at 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi for 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes on computer OR transcription of dictation in Hindi in 65 minutes on computer.
2. HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL)
Number of Vacancies: 159 Nos. (Gen—4; OBC—86; SC—45; ST—24)
Qualification: Intermediate or Higher Secondary (10+2) or Equivalent. Candidates must have Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer for 10 minutes.
3. CONSTABLE (DAFTARY)
Number of Vacancies: 12 Nos. (Gen—00; OBC—6; SC—3; ST—3)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.
Age Limit (for all posts): Between 18yrs to 25yrs as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Pay Scale: —
ASI (Steno): Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-
HC (Min): Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2400/-
CT (Daftry): Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. After Written Examination, qualified candidates will be called for Physical Measurement (PST) and then qualified candidates (for the post of ASI – Steno and HC-Ministerial) will be called for Practical test, i.e. Shorthand hand and Typing speed test, respectively.
Examination Fee: Each application should be accompanied by a crossed Bank Draft/Postal Order for Rs.50/– as examination fee in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post office at the location.
