Border Security Force (BSF), Recruitment Section, is inviting application for 29 posts of Sub Inspector (works) Group ‘B’ for the year-2015. SUB INSPECTOR (WORKS), Engineering (Civil) (Combatised)
No. of Vacancies: 29 Nos. (Gen-19; OBC-04; SC-05; ST-01)

 

Educational Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on last date of receipt of application. The upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, OBC is 3 years, Ex-serviceman is 10 years and others as per govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month plus other allowances as per govt. norms.

 

Physical Standard:
For Men: (i)Height — Min 165cms (5 cms relaxation for hill areas); (ii) Chest — 76-81 cms (2 cms relaxation for candidates below of 20 years of age) (iii) Weight —as per Medical standards (iv) Eye is 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes.

For Women: (i) Height — 157 cms; (ii) Weight — correspondence to height but not less than 46kgs; (iii) Eye is 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes.

 

Physical Efficiency Test:

For Male: (i) Running of 1.6 Km within 7 mins.; (ii) Long Jump of 11 Feet (within 3 chances); (iii) High Jump of 3 and half feet (within 3 chances).

For Female: (i) Running of 800mts within 5 mins (ii) Long Jump of 08 Feet (within 3 chances) (iii) High Jump of 2 and half feet (within 3 chances).

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Documentation, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Interview and Medical Examination. Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- through Demand Draft/IPO drawn in favour IG of BSF Centre nearest to the candidates. (See PDF file given below for list of centres and their addressess)

NO FEE FOR SC/ST, EX-SERVICEMAN AND WOMEN CANDIDATES.

 

Last Date and Address: The duly filled application form along with enclosures and 3 self addressed envelopes (25×12 cms) affixed with postal stamped of Rs.39/- on each, shall be addressed to the BSF Centre nearest to the Candidates (See PDF file below for lists of Centre and Addresses) so as to reach within 30 days, i.e. 21/06/2015 (45 days, i.e. 06/07/2015 for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep)
