Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, is inviting online application from the eligible and interested candidates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)- Sept 2015. CTET is for those candidates who are interested to apply as a Teacher for classes I to VIII. CTET qualified candidates can only apply for the post of Teacher against any forthcoming vacancies released by CBSE.  Educational qualification required and other details in brief, for informational purpose only in interest of job seeker, are given below —

 

CBSE, DELHI, INVITES APPLICATION FOR CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) SEPT-2015 FOR CLASSES I TO VIII. LAST DATE OF ONLINE APPLICATION– 19/08/2015

 

CENTRAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) – SEPT 2015
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts CTET every year for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. Candidates who qualify the CTET are only eligible to apply for the vacancies to the posts of Teacher (Class I to VIII) released by CBSE.

CTET examination will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Question in two papers. Paper-I is for candidates willing to be a teacher for Class I to V and Paper-II is for candidates willing to be a teacher for Class VI to VIII.

Candidates who intend to be a teacher for both levels (i.e. from Class I to VIII) will have to appear in the both papers.
There is no negative marking for wrong answer. 

Date of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) — 20/09/2015 (Sunday). Test will be held at various centres in India.

 

ELIGIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATES WILLING TO SIT FOR CTET SEPT– 2015:

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

 

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

 

N.B: Cut-off/Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable in the above mentioned educational qualification only for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates.

Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of the CTET result.

Examination Fee — Candidates willing to sit for CTET Sept – 2015 must pay the below prescribed examination fee.
Rs.600/ for attending any one of the paper in case of General and OBC candidates (Rs.1000/- if candidates wish to sit for both papers i.e. for Class I to V and Class VI to VIII) 
AND Rs.300/ for attending any one of the paper in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates (Rs.500/- if candidates wish to sit for both papers i.e. for Class I to V and Class VI to VIII).

Examination fee can be paid online during form submission through Debit/ Credit card or can be paid offline through Bank transaction (from Syndicate Bank) or through Post Office transaction by means of fee payment challan which can be print-out from the CTET’s website during submission of Part I application of online form.  See the below URL for details. 

 

How to Apply: Interested candidates may apply Online only through the official website of CTET — www.ctet.nic.in (See the live URL given below)
After final submission of online application fee, i.e. after uploading of scan images of photograph and signature and payment of examination fee, the system generated Registration/Confirmation Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future references. DO NOT SEND THE PRINT-OUT/ ANY DOCUMENTS TO CTET/CBSE AT THIS STAGE.
