ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (STENO)
No. of Vacancies: 79 Nos. (UR-39, OBC-16, SC-08, ST-16)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination.
Candidates should have ability to take dictation of 80wpm in 10min and transcription of 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on closing date for receipt of the application from
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with Grade pay of Rs.2800/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (162.5 Cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 Cms (76 Cms for ST); Chest (expanded) — 82 Cms (81 Cms for ST); Weight — Corresponding to height and age
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 155 Cms (150 Cms for ST candidates); Chest — Not Applicable (Not Applicable for ST); Weight — Corresponding to height and age
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of respective zonal officer (See PDF file given below).
