Indian Bank is recruiting 1201 Nos. candidates (Boys/Girls) for the Clerical Cadre Post (Clerks). The recruitment is State / Union Territory wise. Candidates who have qualified Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in 2011 and have valid Scorecard may apply Online from the bank’s website. Eligibility and norms in brief is given below—

RECRUITMENT OF 1201 CLERKS (CLERICAL CADRE) IN INDIAN BANK.

1. Clerks: 1201 Nos. (Gen—622; SC—210; ST—72; OBC—297). Out of them PWD—37 Nos. and Ex-Serv—174 Nos.

Himachal Pradesh: 10 Nos.
Jharkhand: 10 Nos.
Karnataka: 25 Nos.
Kerala: 20 Nos.
Madhya Pradesh: 30 Nos.
Mizoram: 2 Nos.
Odisha: 75 Nos.
Puducherry: 20 Nos.
Punjab: 50 Nos.
Rajasthan: 29 Nos.
Sikkim : 1 Nos.
Tamil Nadu : 357 Nos.
Tripura: 1 Nos.
Uttar Pradesh : 95 Nos.
Uttaranchal: 3 Nos.

Qualification: Higher Secondary pass (Class 10+2) with 50% marks. For Ex-Servicemen, who do not posses the above qualification, a pass in Service (Departmental) Examination which is recognized as equivalent to Civil Examination not below the level of Matriculation.
Essential Requirement: Candidates must have valid Score card issued by IBPS for Common Written Examination for Clerical Cadre on Nov/Dec-2011.
Cut-Off marks in each subject in case of General candidates is—24 & above and 21& above in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-S.
TWS score marks varies from State to State (refer the advt.)

Additional knowledge: Candidates must have fluency in English speaking and writing and in local language of the State for which he/she applies.
Candidates should have Computer Knowledge or will have to acquire it within six months of joining the bank.

Pay Scale: Rs. 7200—Rs.19300 and other allowances. Candidates will be on probation for six months.

Age limit: within 18yrs to 28yrs as on 1/8/2011. All educational qualification criteria will be taken as on 1/8/2011. Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs, SC/ST—5yrs; PH—10yrs, Widow/ Divorcee/legally separated woman—9yrs and rests of other categories—as per norms.

Selection Steps: On basis of performance in CWE conducted by IBPS for Clerical cadre posts, candidates will be shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates will have to go through Interview.
Date and venue of Interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates through email. Candidates applied for the post should regularly visit the bank’s site for new notification.

How to Apply and Application Fee: Candidates should apply Online only from the bank’s website — http://www.indianbank.in

Application fee: Deposit the Application fee of Rs. 100 (Rs.20 in case of SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serv.) by Fee Payment Challan through any branch of Indian Bank.
Download the Fee Payment Challan only from the official website of Indian Bank to avoid any mistake.
After final submission of Online application; a system generated application form with Unique registration no. will appear on the screen. Print-out the generated application and keep safely for further use.

N.B: Recruitment is according to State/UT wise, therefore candidates should apply only for that Sate/UT from where they have attend the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS on 2011.
Do not send any documents to bank. All the verification of documents, print-out application, fee challan and etc will be done during Interview, if called.
