Indian Overseas Bank is recruiting 1500 boys and girls for the post of “Clerical Staff”. Candidates who have valid scorecard issued by IBPS and have qualified CWE conducted by IBPS for Clerical Cadre posts in Nov/ Dec—2011 may apply for the posts. Application of form is to be made Online only from the official website of Indian Overseas Bank within the scheduled time and date. Brief details is given below—

1. Clerical Staff (Clerk): 1500 Nos. (SC—253; ST—50; OBC—373; Gen—824). Out of total—Ex-serviceman: 225nos. and PWD: 53nos.

Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary pas (10+2) with 65% marks (60% marks for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serv.)
OR
Diploma in Banking with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PH/Ex-S)
OR
Degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PH/Ex-S)
Essential Requirement: Candidates must have valid Score card issued by IBPS for Common Written Examination for Clerical Cadre on Nov/Dec-2011.
Cut-Off marks in each subject in case of General candidates is—24 & above and 21& above in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-S.
TWS score in case of General Candidates—120 minimum and 105 minimum in case of SC/ST/PH/OBC/Ex-S.
Additional knowledge: Candidates must have fluency in English speaking and writing and should have computer knowledge ( candidates who do not have computer knowledge will have to acquire it within six months from the date of joining the service).

Age limit: Candidates must be within 18yrs to 28yrs as on 1/8/2011. Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs, SC/ST—5yrs, PWD—10yrs and rest of other candidates—as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.7200—Rs.19300 plus allowances.
Selected candidates will be on probation for six months.

Selection process: Selection of candidates will be through Interview. On basis of performance in CWE conducted by IBPS candidates will be shortlisted and will be called for Interview. The Interview will carry 50 Marks. Minimum qualifying marks in the Interview will be 22.50 marks for General Category and 20.00 marks for SC/ST/OBC/PC/EXSM Candidates.

Date and venue of Interview will be intimated to the qualified/ shortlisted candidates through email. Tentative date of Interview — Aug/Sept-2012.

N.B: Recruitment is State/UT wise therefore Candidates should apply for State/UT from where they have appeared for IBPS.


Application Fee: Before submitting the application form, print-out the fee challan from the bank’s website and deposit the examination fee of Rs.100 (Rs.20 for SC/ST/PWD/and Ex-Serv.) from any branch of Indian Overseas Bank.

After successful submission of Online application form, print-out the system generated application form and retain safely for use during interview.
Candidates are not required to send any application/ documents by post to the bank. All documents’ verification will be done, if called for Interview.
