3100 Boys/Girls for the post of “Clerk” in State Bank of India through Special Recruitment Drive and Regular Recruitment for North-Eastern Region. Higher Secondary and Graduate Candidates may apply.

State Bank of India for the post of “Clerk” is inviting online application from 3100 Boys/Girls from few States of India along with West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and from Circle of North-Eastern Region through Special Recruitment Drive and through Regular Recruitment. Details below—

State Bank of India is recruiting, including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Island, from 15 other States for the Post of “Clerk” through Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST and OBC categories. Under Special Recruitment Drive only OBC/SC/ST candidates may only apply.
For the States– Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, the recruitment is through Regular Recruitment for Posting at North Eastern Circle. Under this recruitment scheme General candidates along with SC/ST and OBC categories may apply.

QUALIFICATION:
i) Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) pass or equivalent qualification with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS). PWD(OBC) & XS(OBC) candidates applying under Special Recruitment Drive are required to have minimum of 60% marks in 12th standard or in equivalent qualification.
OR
ii) A degree (Graduation level) from a recognised university.
Candidates who have not passed 12th standard Examination but have passed Diploma course after 10th standard are eligible to apply if—
(a) Diploma course passed after 10th standard must be a full time course (Diploma course through correspondence are not eligible) with a minimum of two years duration.
(b) The Diploma course passed after 10th standard should be recognized / approved by the State Board of technical Education of concerned State.
Knowledge in local language will be added as extra qualification.

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected through Written Test. The written test will be of Objective type consisting of (i) General Awareness (ii) General English (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (iv) Reasoning Ability (v) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1 mark for four wrong answers will be deducted.
Candidates will require to obtain minimum 40% marks (35% marks for SC/ST/Ex-Serv./PH) in each paper individually for qualifying.
Qualified candidates will be called for Interview. More information will be provided to the candidates through “Acquaint Yourself” booklet which will be provided along with Call Letter for Written Test.
Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together.

How to Apply: Application form can be submitted only through Online from the official website of State Bank of India—http://www.sbi.co.in or http://www.statebankofindia.com
During online application candidate will require to upload scan copy of Signature and Passport size photo.
After submitting the Application Form, a computer generated unique Registration No. and Password will appear. Candidate should make print-out copy of this for further use. At this stage candidate will require to pay Exam fee of Rs.350 (Rs.50 for SC/ST and PH) either through Online Banking, Debit/Card Card or through Direct Bank deposit (offline). If candidate opt for offline fee payment then make print-out copy of Fee Challan and deposit the Exam fee of Rs.350 (Rs.50 for SC/ST and PH) from any CBS branch of State Bank of India.
During Written Test candidates will require to produce original Fee Receipt.
There is no need to send any documents by post.
