Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, under the Ministry of HRD (Dept. of School Education & Literacy), Regional Office Chandigarh, is recruiting 35 persons for the post of “Lower Division Clerk/ Store Keeper” on direct recruitment basis in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under Chandigarh Region located in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh. The eligibility norms and criteria is given below in brief—
1. Lower Division Clerk/ Store Keeper: 35 Nos. (Gen—17; SC—4; ST—1; OBC—13)
No. of vacancies according to State Wise—
Punjab: 12 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—2; OBC—3)
Himachal Pradesh: 2 Nos. (OBC—2)
Jammu & Kashmir: 20 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—8)
Chandigarh: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
Reservation of posts for PH candidates is as per norms.
Qualification Required: Higher Secondary (Class-12) or equivalent with 50% marks OR Higher Secondary (Class-12) from CBSE/ State Board with secretarial practices and office management as vocational subjects with 50% marks.
Candidates should posses speed of 35 words per minute in English Typing OR 30 words per minute in Hindi Typing on Computers.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay of Rs.1900
Selection will be through Trade Test/ Skill Test on computer. Only eligible candidates will be intimated for the test. Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel, however they can send advance copy of the application to avoid delay.
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years

SC/ST/PH / Ex-Serviceman and Women candidates are not required to pay Application fees.
