Discipline wise distribution of vacancies and educational qualification:
1. Mechanical: 8 posts.
2. Electrical: 4 posts.
3. Electronics: 3 posts.
4. Civil: 2 posts.
5. Naval Architect: 3 posts.
Educational Qualification for above discipline: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation / Civil/ Naval Architecture) with not less than 65% marks in aggregate (55% marks in case of SC/ST & PWD candidates)
6. Human Resources: 2 posts.
Qualification: Degree with minimum 65% marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD). Regular/full time two years Master Degree in Business Administration or equivalent Degree/Diploma with specialization in HR / Post Graduate Degree in Social Work with specialisation in Personnel Management or Labour Welfare & Industrial Relations or Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management with minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD)
7. Finance: 1 post.
Qualification: Degree with minimum 65% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD) and pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
8. Information Technology: 1 post.
Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Masters Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/ Information Technology with 65% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST /PWD candidates)
Age Limit (For all above discipline): Maximum 25 years as on 30.11.2014. Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates. Relaxation for domicile of J&K will be as per govt.norms.
Monthly Stipend: Rs.22,000/- as monthly stipend will be paid to the candidates as Executive Trainee. Upon successful completion of one year training, the selected candidate shall be absorbed as Assistant Manager in E-1 Grade in the scale of pay of Rs.16,400— Rs.40,500 plus other allowances as per norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Selection process will be held at Kochi. The Written test is tentatively scheduled to be held during the last week of February 2015 at Kochi. Candidates may download their Admit card through the official website of Cochin Shipyard in due course, when informed.

After applying through online, candidate is required to take a print out of the Confirmation Page with unique Registration Number generated by the system and affix a recent passport size photograph, sign at the bottom of Confirmation Page and send the same by post along with the Challan (in original) and self-attested copies of all certificates for proof of age, qualifications, mark sheets, experience, caste, disability etc, to — THE GENERAL MANAGER (HR), COCHIN SHIPYARD LTD, KOCHI-682015.
The envelope containing the enclosures should be superscribed with – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF EXECUTIVE TRAINEE, DISCIPLINE_______ & REGISTRATION NO.______”.
