COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 30 POSTS OF SHIP DRAFTSMAN TRAINEE (MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL). LAST DATE — 21/10/2015
1. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical): 13 Nos. (UR-8; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-3) (One is reserved for PWD-HH)
2. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electrical): 17 Nos. (UR-10; SC-2; ST-1; OBC-4)
Educational Qualification: SSLC/Senior Secondary pass and 03 years Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical disciplines with minimum 60% marks/equivalent grade or equivalent qualification with flair for Draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD.
Age Limit: Not above 25 years as on 31/10/2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others
Pay Scale: During training period of two years, stipend of Rs.8500/- and 8900/- per month will be paid in first year and second year respectively.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Practical Test. The written test is objective type and
will include questions on General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and discipline related.
For the practical test, candidates are required to prepare a drawing using CAD.
Written and Practical Test to be held at Kochi.
Candidates qualifying both tests will be selected as Trainee. Training will be of two years.
