Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), 2018 INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURSE for selection to 414 posts in different Academy. Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) (See URL below). Examination Notice No.2/2018.CDS-I. Educational qualification required and other details, in brief, for informational purpose only in interest of job-seeker, are given below —

 

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), 2018 INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURSE. LAST DATE — 04.12.2017.

 

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I) 2018 INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURES)

No. of Vacancies: 414 Nos.

 

Academy wise vacancies:

i. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun: 100 posts
ii. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala: 45 posts
iii. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad: 32 posts
iv. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras): 225 posts
v. Officers Training Academy, Chennai: 12 posts

 

Educational Qualification:

(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy– Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy– Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.
(iii) For Air Force Academy– Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

 

Physical Standards: Candidates should meet the minimum physical standards as given in the Official Advt (See link given below).

 

Age Limit:

(i) For IMA- Born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy- Born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000.

(iii) For Air Force Academy- 20 to 24 years as on 01.01.2019. Married candidates above 25 years of age are also eligible to apply.

(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for men) – Born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 2000.

(v) For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) – Born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 2000.

Note: For Air Force, Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years.

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Interview and Personality Test. The examination will be conducted in various centers across India. See Official Advt. for details.

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 200/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). See released advertisement for more details.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/SC/ST CANDIDATES.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 08.11.2017 to 04.12.2017.

 

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
