Constable (Pioneer) in ITBP- Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is recruiting 168 in trades of Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Mason, Painter and Welder.

Indo – Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is recruiting 168 Constable/ Pioneer (Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Mason, Painter and Welder) in group-C. The posts were on temporary basis but chances remains to become permanent. Madhyamik pass boys with work experience or ITI Trade certificate were eligible to apply. Detail below—

Post: Constable (Pioneer).
Name of Trade and trade wise vacancies—
Electrician: 56 Nos. (Gen-29, SC-8, ST-4, OBC-15)
Plumber: 54 Nos. (Gen-27, SC-8, ST-4, OBC-15)
Carpenter: 25 Nos. (Gen-12, SC-4, ST-2, OBC-7)
Mason: 25 Nos. (Gen-12, SC-4, ST-2, OBC-7)
Painter: 4 Nos. (Gen-2, SC-1, OBC-1)
Welder: 4 Nos. (Gen-2, SC-1, OBC-1)

Required Qualification: Madhyamik pass with one year work experience in the respective trade. Preference will be given to the candidates who have Trade Certificate in respective trades from I.T.I. or recognized Institution.

Physical Standard: Height: 170. cms (162.5 cms for SC/ST; 165 cms for Hilly area candidates)
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 80cm/85cm (76cm/81cm for SC/ST and 78cm/83cm for Hill area candidates)
Weight: proportional to height and age as per medical standard.
Eye sight: 6/6 and 6/9 with both eyes in distant vision without glasses.

Age limit: between 18yrs to 23yrs as on 9/4/2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs, Others- as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000 per month plus other allowances.

Candidates’ selection: Candidates will be selected through— (I) Height Bar test, (II) Race of 1.6 KM within 10 minutes, (III) Documents verification, (IV) Physical Standard Test, i.e. height, weight, chest and etc measurement, (IV) Written Test of 50 marks (objective types) on General English, General Hindi, General Awareness (Bilingual), Quantative Aptitude test (bilingual), Simple Reasoning (Bilingual) (V) Trade Test of 20 marks on respective trade, (V) Interview of 20 marks and (V) Medical Examination.

How to apply: Application form can be prepared on full size plain paper in neatly typed as per format. Candidates should pay Application fee of Rs.50 in form of IPO or Crossed Bank Draft or in form Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS). Bank draft/IPO should be in favour of – “Dy. Inspector General, SHQ Delhi ITBP”, and payable at—“SBI, RK Puram, New Delhi, Code No-1076”. If fee is paid through CRFS stamp then it should be duly cancelled from the post office. SC/ST candidates do not require to pay application fee.
Along with application enclosed the following documents in attested copies—

  • Educational certificate
  • Birth certificate/ Age Proof (Madhyamik certificate can be given for verification)
  • Caste certificate, if SC/ST or OBC
  • Domicile certificate issued by local revenue authorities for verification of citizenship
  • Discharge certificate, if Ex-serviceman
  • Experience or Trade certificate
  • 2 passport size photographs (one on application form and other on admit card in duly attested)
  • Bank Draft/IPO of Rs.50 (for General and OBC candidates only)
  • 2 self-addressed envelopes (4×9 inches) with postal stamp of Rs.5 on each envelope.

Application from containing envelope should be super scribed in bold letters—““APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE /PIONEER (Name of trade for which applied) IN ITBP”

Last date: Application form should reach within 9th April 2012 (16/4/2012 for far flung states) at the following address— “Dy. Inspector General, SHQ Delhi ITBP, Post Office – Madangir, Tigri Camp, New Delhi – 110062”.
