Teachers for Lower Primary Schools
No. of Vacancies: 3088 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with LPTET and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduate degree from UGC recognized University with LP TET and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST (P)/ ST(H)/OBC/MOBC& PWD will get relaxation of 5% marks in Educational qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-43 years as on 01/01/2017
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20,200
Teachers for Upper Primary Schools
1. ASSISTANT TEACHER —1129 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from the UGC recognized University and UPTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
2. SCIENCE TEACHER — 161 Nos.
Educational Qualification: B. Sc. degree from the UGC recognized University and UP TET qualified in Science and Mathematics stream and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
3. HINDI TEACHER — 1473 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from the UGC recognized University having Hindi as one of the subjects and UPTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
4. ARABIC TEACHER — 176 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from the UGC recognized University having Arabic as one of the subjects and UPTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
Age Limit (for Upper Primary Schools): Minimum-18 years and maximum-43 years as on 01/01/2017
Pay Scale(for upper primary schools): Rs.5200 – Rs.20,200
Note: Candidates, who have passed TET for Madrasa are only eligible for the post of Hindi Teacher and Arabic Teacher.
A candidate must possess the ability to read, write and speak in the medium of instruction pertaining to the district in which the candidate wishes to apply. (See officially released advertisement for more details)
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 200/- (Rs. 150/- for SC, ST(P), ST(H) candidates) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Director of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19.
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF BPL CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
