RECRUITMENT IN EASTERN RAILWAY HEADQUARTERS IN CATEGORY-I AND CATEGORY-II
1). Category – I: 05 Posts.
– Archery (Recurve/Compound) – 03 Nos.
– Athletics (any events): 02 Nos.
Qualification: Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent
Sports Norms: Represented the country in Olympic Games (Senior Category) or secured at least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years (as on 01.01.2016).
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – 20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/ Rs.2800

Qualification: Minimum class 12 pass and/or passed out ITI/Act Apprentices (Diploma in Engineering/BE will not be accepted).
Sports Norms: Represented the Country in World Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category) or USIC (World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships or at least 3rd position in National Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR at least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championships organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities or 1st position in the Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years (as on 01.01.2016).
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – 20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/ Rs.2000
RECRUITMENT IN EASTERN RAILWAY HEADQUARTERS/DIVISIONS/WORKSHOPS IN CATEGORY-III
(i) Eastern Rly HQ – 10 posts.
(ii) Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol and Malda Division: Total 20 posts (05 posts in each division)
(iii) Liluah, Kanchrapara & Jamalpur Workshops: Total 09 posts (03 posts in each workshops)
Qualification: Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Sports Norms: Represented the Country in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category) or USIC (World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR Represented State or equivalent unit, except in marathon and cross country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR at least 3rd position in Senior State Championships for All Units and Districts of the State.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years (as on 01.01.2016).
Pay Scale: Rs.5200- 20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-

Eligibility will be considered based on the sports performance in the championships held on 01.04.2013 or afterwards only and the sportsperson shall be a currently active player. Performance in earlier championships, i.e. before 01.04.2013 will not be taken into consideration.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Sports Trial and Interview.
