Recruitment on the results of this examination “Engineering Service Examination-2012” will be made on posts like as Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering in the categories of I, II, III and IV in departments of – Indian Railway Service of Engineers, Indian Railway Stores Services (Civil Engineering Posts), Central Engineering Service, Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Civil Engineering Posts), Indian Ordance Factories Services, Central Water Engineering Gr. ‘A’ Service (Civil Engineering Posts), Central Engineering Service (Roads) Group-A. (Civil Engg. Posts), Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil Engineering Post) (in Border Roads Engineering Service Gr. ‘A’), Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Indian Naval Armament Service (Mechanical Engineering Posts) and various others.
The Written Examination will commence on 15th June 2012 at respective centres of Union Public Service Commission—Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi (Cochin), Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.

Who can Apply—Candidates with Degree in Engineering and within age limit of 21yrs to 30yrs as 1st Jan 2012. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories is as per govt. norms.
