Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, as per Advt. No. FRI/GC/2012-1, is recruiting 32 persons for the post of – Technical Assistant (Sawyer/ Copy Holder/ Key Punch Assistant), Office Facilitator/ Office Attendant, Security Attendant (chowkidar), Nursery Attendant (Mali), Lab/Field Attendant and Sanitation Attendant (Safaiwala). For Matric and Higher Secondary candidates. The posts were on temporary basis but likely to continue. Brief details below—
1. Technical Assistant (Sawyer): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation (Class-10) pass with I.T.I Trade certificate in relevant trade
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200. Grade pay—Rs.1900
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
2. Technical Assistant (Copy Holder): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation with Hindi and English as a compulsory subject and minimum 3 years experience in Copy reading.
Age and Pay Scale—Same as above.
3. Technical Assistant Group-C (Key Punch Assistant): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) in Science
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200. Grade pay—Rs.2000
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
4. Office Facilitator/ Office Attendant: 16 Nos. (Gen-12; SC-3; ST-1)
Qualification: Matriculation pass. 3 years of experience in relevant trade is desirable not compulsory.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.1800
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
5. Security Attendant (Chowkidar): 3 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1)
Qualification: Matriculation pass. 3 years experience in relevant field is desirable.
Pay scale and age: same as above post.
6. Nursery Attendant (Mali): 3 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1)
Qualification: Matriculation pass. Three years of experience in relevant field is desirable.
Pay scale and age: same as above post.
7. Lab/ Field Attendant: 4 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; OBC-1)
Qualification: Matriculation pass. Three years of experience in relevant field is desirable.
Pay scale and age: same as above post.
8. Sanitation Attendant (Safaiwala): 3 Nos. (SC-3)
Qualification: Matriculation pass. Three years of experience in relevant field is desirable.
Pay scale and age: same as above post.
Age relaxation for all the above posts for reserved candidates is as per govt. norms. Age will be counted as on 31/5/2012.

Enclose all the copies and testimonials in attested along with the application form such as—Age proof certificate, Caste certificate, Educational Certificate, Experience Certificate and any other relevant documents.
Paste one recent passport size photograph on the application form and stapled two similar photographs on the front of application form after writing your Name and Name of post applied for in Capital letters at the back side of the photographs.
Application Fee: Prepare a Bank Draft of Rs.200 in favour of – “Accounts Officer, Forest Research Institute” and write payable at—“Dehradun”. Candidates willing to apply for more than one posts should prepare separate DD for each post.
SC/ST/PH and all female candidates do not require to pay Application fee.
Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for written examination. Date and venue will be intimated later to the eligible candidates through Call letters.
Candidates will be called for Written examination and Interview on the scheduled date which will be intimated later. The decision made by Institute on short-listing the candidates will be final and correspondence will be made in this regard. The posts were temporary but likely to continue.
