STENOGRAPHER GRADE-III IN THE SUBORDINATE COURTS OF PUNJAB
No. of Vacancies: 229 Nos. (UR-51; SC-81; OBC-22; PH-20; ESM-55)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent thereto from a recognized university and must have proficiency in operation of computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).
He/she should have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language.
Age Limit: 18 yrs – 37 yrs as on 01.01.2017
Pay Scale: Rs.5,910 – Rs.20,200 with Grade pay of Rs.2,800/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: The candidates will have to qualify the English Shorthand Test and Transcription at the speed of 80 W.P.M. and 20 W.P.M. respectively. The candidates, who qualify the said English Shorthand Test and its Transcription, will be called for Punjabi Shorthand Test and its Transcription, which they will have to qualify at the speed of 35 W.P.M. and 20 W.P.M. respectively and Computer Proficiency Test (word processing and spreadsheets).
The examination is likely to be conducted in the month of May, 2017.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.1,000/- for UR candidate, Rs.250/- for SC/BC/OBC/ESM of State of Punjab candidate. Fee for PHC of Punjab candidate is Rs.500/- (Rs.125/- for SC/BC/OBC/ESM). Fee can be paid through Bank only by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of High Court of Punjab and Haryana, SSSC. Applicant has to take along this printed ‘Cash Deposit Receipt‟ to any Branch of State Bank of India for deposit of fee in cash only. The requisite fee can be deposited up to 20.04.2017.
