AIRMEN IN GROUP-Y TRADES
List of Sports eligible for the vacancies:
a). Athletics
b). Basket
c). Boxing
d).Cross Country
e). Cricket
f). Cycling
g). Football,
h). Gymnastics
i). Hockey
j). Handball
k). Kabaddi
l). Lawn Tennis
m). Shooting,
n). Swimming
o). Volleyball
p). Water Polo
q). Wrestling
r). Weight Lifting
s). Golf
Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in stream/ subjects approved by Central/ State Boards of education.
Sport Eligibility:
i) Candidates should have represented the country in Junior/ Senior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection.
ii) Candidates should have attained the standard of fifth place in the Junior/Senior National Championship or Inter University Championship in above mention sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
iii) In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior/ Senior National Championship and National School Tournament Conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in the above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection.
Note: Candidates played International/ National level and achieved position but not possessing 10+2 Educational Qualification may also apply.
Age Limit: Born Between: 28/12/1996 to 27/12/2000
Pay Scale: During training period, stipend of Rs.11,400/- per month. On completion of training period, the minimum scale of pay including dearness allowances will be Rs.20500/- per month.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 152.5 cm; Chest (expanded) — Minimum 5 cm; Weight — as per age and height
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Sport Skill Trails and Medical Test.
Candidates selected for the post will be on training, during which stipend of Rs.11,400/-pm will be paid.
