Indian Coast Guard invites unmarried males for Yantrik 02/2013 Batch. Apply online within 14/02/2013

Indian Coast Guard in inviting application from unmarried Male candidates for the post of “Yantrik” in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. Matriculation done candidates with 3 years of Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering may apply for the post. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online. Qualification norms and information in brief is given below—

INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES UNMARRIED BOYS FOR THE POST OF YANTIK. APPLY ONLINE FROM 04TH FEB TO 14TH FEBRUARY 2013.

Vacancies are in the following discipline—
Yantrik Technical (Mechanical)
Yantrik Technical (Electrical)
Yantrik Technical (Electronics)

Educational Requirement: Matriculation and 3yrs of Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with 60% in aggregate (55% percentage in case of meritorious sportsperson)

Age Limits: Candidates must be born 01 Aug 91 to 31 Jul 95. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Physical Standards of the candidates—
Height: Minimum 157cms
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and weight as per Medical standards.
Visual Standards:  6/24 (Better Eye) and 6/24 (Worse Eye).
Candidates should be physically fit and free from any physical disputes and surgical deformities.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test of Objective types, Physical Fitness Test, Interview and Medical Examination.
The written tests will be objective type. The questions paper will contain questions from their respective discipline (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication.
Candidates who qualify the Written Test will be called for Physical fitness test, which will be of –

  1. 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7minutes.
  2. 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
  3. 10 Push ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

The selection steps will be carried during the Month of March/ April – 2013. Eligible candidates will be informed in due course as well as shortlist will be published at the website of Indian Coast Guard.
The Written Test and Interview will be conducted at the respective centre at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat), Noida (UP) and Paradip (Orissa).

After successful submission of Online application form, system will generate automatic Registration slip with unique Application Number. Candidates must print-out this system generated Application Form in two copies.
Both copies of the print out of application duly signed with photograph are to be carried by the applicant to the recruitment centre during Selection steps along with testimonials/ documents in Originals and Attested copies.

Last Date of Application: Candidates may submit the Online application form from dated – 04th February to 14th February 2013.
