Educational Qualification:
(i) Engineering Assistant (Mechanical)– Three years full time Diploma (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration) in Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering with minimum 55% marks (Pass marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) from recognized Institute.
(ii) Engineering Assistant (Electrical)– Three years full time Diploma (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration) in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 55% marks (Pass marks for SC/ST/ PwBD candidates) from recognized Institute.
(iii) Engineering Assistant (T&I)– Three years full time Diploma (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration) in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Instrumentation & Process Control Engineering/ Electronics Engineering with minimum 55% marks (Pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from recognized Institute.
(iv) Technical Attendant-I– Matric / 10th pass and ITI pass in Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Fitter/ Instrument Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant)/ Machinist/ Machinist (Grinder)/ Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronics Communication System/ Turner/ Wiremen/ Draughtsman (Mechanical)/ Mechanic Industrial Electronics/ Information Technology & ESM/ Mechanic (Refrigeration & Air Conditioner)/ Mechanic (Diesel) trades from a Govt. recognized Institute/Board. Candidates should possess Trade Certificate / National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by SCVT/ NCVT.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on 26.12.2017.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scales: Rs. 11900- Rs.32000/- for Engineering Assistant (Mechanical/Electrical/T&I) and Rs.10500- Rs.24500/- for Technical Attendant-I.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test. Written Test will be held in various centres namely Kolkata, Guwahati, Barauni, Panipat/ Delhi, Rajkot/ Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bhubhneshwar. Written Test will be held tentatively on 11.02.2018.
