Indian Overseas Bank is recruiting 1500 Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale—I. Candidates with valid Score Card issued by IBPS to the candidates who have taken Common Written Examination for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees in 2011. Online application form is available which can be submitted by last 19th April 2012. Details below—

Probationary Officer
Scale—JMGS-I, Post code- 01
No. of vacancies: 1500 Nos. (Gen-736; OBC-392; SC-223; ST-149) out of them – 60 Nos. for Physcially Challenged candidates.


Qualification: Graduate with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST and PH candidates) from recognised Institute/University on or before 01/07/2011.
Computer knowledge is required; candidates who do not have computer knowledge will need to possess it within six months of joining the bank.

Desirable qualification: Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) from Indian Institute Of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is a desirable qualification
IBPS Valid score card: Candidates should have valid Score Card issued by IBPS for the CWE of Probationary Clerk/ Management Trainee-2011. Test Cut-Off  in each Paper/ Test–
24 & above for General Candidates and 21 & above for SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates.
Total Weighted Standard Score (TWS)
Minimum 120 for General candidates and Minimum 105 for SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates.

Age Limit: Candidates should be within 21yrs to 30yrs as on 1/7/2011. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST- 5yrs; PH- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman- 5yrs and Domicile of J&K- 5yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.14500—Rs.25700

Probation will be of 2yrs from the date of joining the bank.

Selection Steps: On basis of merit/ marks obtained in CWE of IBPS; candidates will be shortlisted for Interview. Interview will be of 50 marks out of which 22.5 marks will be taken as qualified marks (20 for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates).
Final selection will be on basis of marks obtained in CWE conducted by IBPS and in Interview. Interview may hold on the month of May/June 2012.

How to Apply: Candidates are required to apply Online only through official site of Indian Overseas Bank— http://www.iob.in
Before applying online, candidates should pay Application Fee of Rs.200 through Fee Payment Receipt Challan to any branch of Indian Overseas Bank. Fee challan is available on the official site of Indian Overseas Bank. Candidates should make print-out of it and fills it accurately.
SC/ST and PH candidates should pay only Rs.50 as processing fee
After depositing the Application fee, visit the bank site  and fill the online form. Now right after submitting the online application form; computer generated Application form with unique Registration No. and Password will appear on the screen. Candidates should make print-out copy of this system generated Application form.

There is no need to send any documents by post to the bank’s address. The print-out Application form, Fee challan receipt and attested copies of all required documents will need to produce during Interview.
The exact date and venue of Interview will be informed to the candidates later through call letters. Call letter for Interview will be available on the bank’s website later which candidates can download by entering their Registration No. and Password. Call Letters will be also emailed to the candidates’ e-mail id, therefore candidates should mention their valid working email id during online registration. Candidates should often visit the bank’s website for any update news or announcement after submitting the online form.
