52 Junior Assistant (Fire Service) in Airports Authority of India, Kolkata. Last Dt. 30/07/2012

Airports Authority of India, Kolkata—52, is recruiting 72 persons for the posts of “Junior Assistant (Fire Service)” in Eastern Region from the candidates residing in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Port Blair. Higher Secondary candidates who meets the below mentioned criteria may apply for the post on the prescribed application format. The eligibility criteria and others is given below in brief—

 72 JUNIOR ASSISTANT (FIRE SERVICE) IN AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA, KOLKATA (EASTERN REGION)

1. Junior Assistant (Fire Service): 72 Nos. (Gen—40; SC—12; sT—9; OBC—11). For Male Candidates Only.

Qualification: Higher Secondary pass (Class 10+2) with 50% of marks in regular mode
OR
Class 10 (Madhyamik) pass with 3 years of Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Fire with 50% marks (minimum)


Essential: Candidates must have Valid heavy driving license OR Valid Medium or Light vehicle driving licence issued on or before 30/07/2012.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates who have relevant experience in the field or have done fire fighting training course from AAI or Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. Preference will be also given to the candidates who have studied Computer Science as a subject at 12th class level and to candidates who have NCC ‘B” Certificate.

Physical Standars:—
Height: 167 cms (minimum)
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 81cms/ 86cms
Weight: 55 Kgs (minimum)
Eye Sight: Distant vision –6/6 with both eyes; Near vision—N5 with both eyes. Candidates should not have color blindness.
Hearing and Speech functionality should be normal.
Candidates should be free from any internal and external disease and must not have any physical defects such as – flat foot, squint eye, bow leges, knocking knee, etc which may hinder in performance of duty.

Age limit: between 18yrs to 30yrs as on 30/07/2012. Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs and Ex-serviceman – as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.12500—Rs.28500 plus allowances as per norms.

Selection will be through Test/ Interview. Eligible candidates will be intimated through Admit card/ call letter and through Official website of the Authority.

Govt./ PSU employee should apply through proper channel.
Only candidates who are domicile of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Port Blair were eligible to apply.

Application Fee: Candidates should prepare a Demand Draft of Rs.100 in favour of —  Airports Authority of India, payable at Kolkata. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

The application form should be enclosed with the following documents in Attested and Self-signed copies (Attestation should be done by Gazetted Officer and candidates should also self-singed on it mentioning the date)

  • Demand Draft of Rs.100 (not required for SC/ST)
  • Four recent passport size photographs attested by Gazetted officer (One copy is to be pasted on Application form and three copies should be enclosed with the form tagged in small envelope after writing your name and father’s name on the back side of it)
  • Certificates and testimonials such as – Qualification certificate, Caste, Training, Age proof, Driving Licence, Residential proof and etc

Last Date of Application: 30th July 2012.
