Odisha Staff Selection Commission (Odisha SSC) is inviting application for recruitment of 17 Posts in the post of “Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector (Jr. MVI)” in Odisha Sub Ordinate Transport Engineering Service under Dept. of Commerce and Transport. Eligible candidates may apply on the prescribed application format. Eligibility norm and criteria in brief is given below—
1. Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector: 17 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—3; ST—3; SEBC—2). Out of total 6 posts is reserved for Female candidates and One post for Ex-Serviceman. No reservation for PWD candidates.

Qualification: Must have passed High School certificate examination or equivalent and –
Diploma course of 3 years in Automobile Engineering OR Diploma course of 3years in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Essential requirement: Candidates must have valid driving licence of Motorcyle, heavy goods vehicle and heavy passenger motor vehicle as well as working experience of atleast one year in reputed workshop/garage engage in repair of light and heavy motor vehicle
Candidates must have studied Odiya as a language subject in their Middle School Examination
Pay scale: Rs.9300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay of Rs.4200/-
Age limit: Candidates should be within 32yrs as on 01/01/2012. Age relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC, Women and Ex-Serviceman candidates—5yrs
Selection of candidates: Candidates will be selected through Written Test and Viva Voce Test. Written examination of 200 marks will be in 3 papers with objective types questions with multiple choice of answers. Paper—I will be on Language proficiency and General knowledge, Paper—II on Vehicle maintenance, pollution standards, Motor vehicle laws and road safety rules and Paper—II on Automobile Engineering.
Qualified candidates will be called for 25 marks of Viva Voce Test.
Date and venue of Written Examination will be informed to the candidates in due course through Admission letters. Admission letters and examination notification will be also available on the official site of Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
Application Fee: Candidates should pay application fee of Rs.100 through treasury challan under the head of account “0051—PSC—104—UPSC/SSC-examination fees—0047-fees collected for conduction examination-02041-examination fees”. No fee required for SC/ST candidates.

Print-out the generated form in 2 copies and then one copy along with the essential documents in attested copies in support of Qualification, Age limit, caste, Driving licence, Experience and any other relevant documents should need to be sent by post or in person to the below given address. Candidates should also enclose 2 Nos. passport size photographs duly attested by gazetted officers along with the print-out application form.
