Eastern Railway – Kanchrapara Railway Workshop, Kolkata, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 750 posts of Act Apprentices in different Trades, viz.- Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist, Wireman, Capenter & Painter. KANCHRAPARA RAILWAY WORKSHOP IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 750 POSTS OF ACT APPRENTICES IN DIFFERENT TRADES, VIZ.- FITTER, WELDER, ELECTRICIAN, MACHINIST, WIREMAN, CAPENTER & PAINTER.. LAST DATE — 28/09/2015 (4.30 PM)

 

ACT APPRENTICES FOR KANCHRAPARA RAILWAY WORKSHOP. Name of the Trades and Number of vacancies are as follows: –

1. Fitter: 240 posts (UR-121; SC-36; ST-18; OBC-65)
2. Welder (G&E): 143 posts. (UR-72; SC-21; ST-11; OBC-39)
3. Electrician: 264 posts. (UR-133; SC-40; ST-20; OBC-71)
4. Machinist: 22 posts. (UR-11; SC-03; ST-02; OBC-06)
5. Wireman: 12 posts. (UR- 6; SC-2; ST-1; OBC-03)
6. Carpenter: 31 posts. (UR-16; SC-05; ST-02; OBC-08)
7. Painter (General): 38 posts. (UR-19; SC-06; ST-03; OBC-10)

Note: From total 750 vacancies, 22 is reserved for Ex-Servicemen and 22 reserved for PH candidates.

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with minimum 50% marks AND ITI (NCVT) certificate in relevant trade.

 

Age Limit: Completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01/07/2015

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others

 

Selected candidates will go for Training which will be of 01 year. Stipend during training period will be paid as per norms.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.40/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of FA & CAO, Eastern Railway, Kolkata, payable at GPO/ Kolkata.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, PH, WOMEN, ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD CANDIDATES AND MINORITIES CATEGORIES.

Candidates must submit only one application form for any one of the trade.

Candidates must also enclose 01 (11 x 5 inches) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5/-

The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF ACT APPRENTICE, COMMUNITY______, TRADE_____

Application form, if submitted by Post should be through Ordinary Post only.

Candidates can also submit their Application form by dropping it in the Drop-Box kept in Time Office/ Loco Gate and Main Gate C&W, Eastern Rly, Kanchrapara druing working days between 10 am to 4.30 pm.
