Liluah Workshop and Howrah Divison, Eastern Railway is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 863 posts of Act Apprentices in the following trades – Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder (G&E), Painter General, Electrician, Wireman, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mech. (MV), Mech. (Dsl), Blacksmith, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General, Lineman (Gen), Wireman and Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance. TRADE APPRENTICES FOR LILUAH WORKSHOP
No. of Vacancies: 204 Nos. (UR-103, SC-31, ST-15, OBC-55) Out of the total posts 04 posts are reserved for PWD(OH/HH) and 06 posts for ESM)

Trade wise vacancies:

i. Fitter- 80 posts
ii. Machinist- 23 posts
iii. Turner- 11 posts
iv. Welder (G&E)- 50 posts
v. Painter General- 05 posts
vi. Electrician- 15 posts
vii. Wireman- 15 posts
viii. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning- 05 posts

 

TRADE APPRENTICES FOR HOWRAH DIVISION

No. of Vacancies: 659 Nos. (UR-336, SC-96, ST-53, OBC-174) Out of the total posts 20 posts are reserved for PWD(OH/HH/VH) and 20 posts for ESM)

Educational Qualification for above trades : Matriculation pass (in 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks (excluding optional/ additional subject) and ITI certificate in relevant trade.

 

Age Limit: Should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 01.07.2017.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be o the basis of marks obtained in Academic Qualification.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Crossed Postal Order drawn in favour of F.A & C.A.O, Estern Railway, Kolkata, payable at GPO/ Kolkata.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST/PH/WOMEN/MINORITIES/BC CANDIDATES.

Candidates must also enclose 02 (11cm x 5cm) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5/-

 

The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “APPLICATION FOR LILUAH WORKSHOP OR HOWRAH DIVISION”
