Parliament of India, Joint Recruitment Cell, Lok Sabha Secretariat is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 08 posts of Parliamentary Interpreter Grade-II (Group A). PARLIAMENT OF INDIA, LOK SABHA SECRETARIAT IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 08 POSTS OF PARLIAMENTARY INTERPRETER GRADE-II (GROUP A). LAST DATE — 15.03.2017.

 

PARLIAMENTARY INTERPRETER GRADE-II

No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (UR-05, OBC-02, SC-01)

Language wise vacancies:

i) English/Hindi: 03 posts

ii) Dogri: 01 posts

iii) Kashmiri: 01 post

iv) Konkani: 01 post

v) Santhali: 01 post

vi) Sindhi:01 post

 

Educational Qualification:

(I) For English/Hindi Interpreters: Master’s degree in English with medium of Hindi language up to Degree Level OR Master’s degree in Hindi with medium of English language up to Degree Level.

Desirable: i) Experience in translation or interpretation work; ii) Certificate in computer course recognised by (AICTE)/Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

 

(II) For Regional Language Interpreters: Master’s degree in English or any other discipline (with English as a medium of instruction) fwith regional language concerned up to Degree Level.

Desirable: i) Experience in translation or interpretation work; ii) Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

 

Age Limit: Maximum-27 years for English/Hindi Interpreters and 35 years for Regional Language Interpreters as on 15.03.2017.

 

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade Pay Rs.5400

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Oration Test, Written Test, Simultaneous Interpretation Test and Personal Interview.

Examination for the English/Hindi Stream will be held at Delhi; Dogri at Jammu; Kashmiri at Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir); Konkani at Panaji (Goa); Santhali at Ranchi (Jharkhand); and Sindhi at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) or Mumbai (Maharashtra) for which more eligible candidates for Sindhi Stream give preference to take the examination.
