Coal India Limited, a govt. of India undertaking, is recruiting 1286 persons as “Management Trainee – 2012” in discipline of — Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical/Mineral, Electronics & Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, Systems, Environment, Geology, Materials Management, Finance & HR, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Rajbhasha (Hindi). Management Trainee: 1286 Nos. (Gen-637; SC-205; ST-108; OBC-336). Out of total; 72 posts are reserved for Persons with disability.

Industrial Engineering (code-06): 22 Nos. (Gen-13; SC-2; ST-1; OBC-6)
Qualification: For discipline code-01 to 06—Minimum 60% marks in BE/ B.Tech/ AMIE/B.Sc (Engg.) in relevant branch of Engineering

Environment (code-07): 15 Nos. (Gen-5; SC-3; ST-1; OBC-6)
Qualification: Degree in Environmental Engineering with minimum 60% marks Or candidates with any Engineering Degree with PG Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering with min 60% marks.

Electronics & Telecommunication (code-08): 9 Nos. (Gen-4; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-3)
Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in BE/ B.Tech/ AMIE/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Systems (code-09): 29 Nos. (Gen-15; SC-4; ST-2; OBC-8)
Qualification: 60% marks in BE/ B.Tech/ BSc. (Engg) in Computer Science/ Computer Engg. / IT or MCA with minimum 60% marks.

Geology (code-10): 34 Nos. (Gen-18; SC-4; ST-5; OBC-7)
Qualification: M. Sc/ M. Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology with 60% marks.

Legal (code-11): 22 Nos. (Gen-13; SC-2; ST-1; OBC-6)
Qualification: Graduate in Law of 3yrs/5yrs duration with 60% marks.

Materials Management (code-12): 26 Nos. (Gen-13; SC-2; ST-3; OBC-8)
Qualification: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree with MBA/ PG Diploma in Management with 60% marks.

Sales & Marketing (code-13): 23 Nos. (Gen-12; SC-3; ST-2; OBC-6)
Qualification: Degree with MBA /PG Diploma in Management with specialization in Marketing (major) with 60% marks.

Personnel/ HR (code-14): 110 Nos. (Gen-49; SC-21; ST-6; OBC-34)
Qualification: Graduate with minimum 2 years full time PG degree/ PG diploma/ PG program in Management with specialization in HR/Industrial Relations/Personnel Management or MHROD or MBA or Master of Social work with specialization in HR with 60% marks.

Finance & Accounts (code-15): 294 Nos. (Gen-110; SC-59; ST-44; OBC-81)
Qualification: CA/ ICWA

Rajbhasha/ Hindi (code-16): 5 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; OBC-2)
Qualification: MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with minimum 50% marks.

N.B: SC/ST and PWD candidates will receive 5% relaxation in qualification marks whereas for rest of others- 60% is required.

Age limits: Candidates should be within 30 years as on 1/6/2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs; PWD (Gen)—10yrs.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates as Management Trainee in E2 grade will be in pay scale of Rs.20600—Rs.46500. initial Basic pay of Rs.20600 will be given at first year of training period. On successful completion of Training will be shifted to E3 grade in the payscale of Rs.24900—Rs.50500.

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected through All Indian Selection Test which will be a Written Test of Multiple Choice Questions in two papers.
Paper – I will be on General Awareness & Aptitude and will consist 100 questions and paper – II will be on Technical Aptitude in the relevant discipline and will consists 100 questions.
Questions will be in English and Hindi. Total duration of exam—3hrs.
Qualified candidates from written test will be called for Personal Interview in the ration of 1:3

The written test will be held at Kolkata, Ranchi, Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Srinagar, Guwahati, Raipur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Delhi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangluru and Chennai.
Admit Card: Admit card will be available on the official website at later stage for shortlisted candidates to download. Written Test (All India Selection Test) will be on dated 22nd July 2012.

Application Fee: Candidates should printout the fee challan from the official website of Coal India then through any branch of State Bank of India should deposit the amount of Rs.500 in a specially opened Power Jyoti Account No. 32306580317 on behalf of Coal India.
SC/ST /PH and employees of Coal India do not require application fee.

Before applying online, candidates should deposit the prescribed Application fee and then only fill the online application.
After successful submission of Online application form, a system generated Application form with unique registration No. will appear on the screen. Candidates should make 2 Nos. print-out copy of this.
One copy should be kept for self- record and other copy should be send to the office address by Ordinary post along with documents.
Candidates should enclose all the required documents and testimonials in attested copies and original fee receipt.
Print-out application should reach only through Ordinary post. Candidates should keep several copies of their passport size photographs (same one which is pasted on application form) with them for later use. For more information, refer the advt. on the official website of Coal India.

Last Date: Online Application can be made from 21st May to 11th June 2012. And system generated print-out application should reach by Ordinary Post within 18th June 2012 at the following address—“Post Bag No. 43 G.P.O, Kolkata-700001”.
