MANGALURU CUSTOMS COMMISSIONERATE IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 36 POSTS OF TINDEL, SENIOR DECKHAND, SEAMAN AND GREASER. LAST DATE — 13/02/2018
- TINDEL
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (Gen-02, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Eight Standard Pass.
ii) 10 years service on sea going vessel with 5 years experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary sails.
Desirable: i) Certificate of Competency for Inland Mater 1st class
OR
ii) Certificate of Service.
iii) Matriculation or equivalent.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-35 years
Pay Scale: Rs.25500 – Rs.81100
- SENIOR DECKHAND
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (Gen-02, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Eight Standard Pass.
ii) 5 years service on sea going vessel with 2 years experience in helmsman and seamanship work.
Desirable: i) Certificate of Fishery Training School. ii) Matriculation or equivalent.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-30 years
Pay Scale: Rs.21700 – Rs.69100
- SEAMAN
No. of Vacancies: 21 Nos. (SC-03, ST-01, OBC-05, Gen-12)
Educational Qualification: i) X class pass or equivalent.
ii) Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work.
Desirable: Certificate of Competency as Mate of Fishing vessel issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years
Pay Scale: Rs.18000 – Rs.56900
- GREASER
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (SC-01, OBC-02, Gen-06)
Educational Qualification: i) X class pass or equivalent.
ii) Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance.
Desirable: Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of Fishing vessel issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years
Pay Scale: Rs.18000 – Rs.56900
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Swimming Test, Skill Test and Physical Test.
