North Central Railway requires 388 candidates for Act Apprentice Training in different Trades for Wagon Repair Workshop. Last Dt. 27/12/2013

North Central Railway (NCR) is recruiting 388 candidates for Act Apprentice training for the year 2013-14 in Wagon Repair Workshop in the trades of – Fitter, Welder, Mechanic, Machinist, Painter, Crane Operator, Electrician and Programming & System Administration Assistant. Candidates who meets the below laid educational criteria may apply for the vacancies on prescribed application format. Notification No. 01/2013/JHS/WS. Qualification norms are as follows —

ACT APPRENTICE TRAINING 
Number of Vacancies: 388 Nos. (Gen—196; OBC—105; SC—59; ST—28). 11 reserved for PWD candidates.

Distribution of vacancies as per Trade wise are as follows —
1. Fitter: 195 Nos.
2. Welder (Gas & Electric): 102  Nos.
3. Mechanic Machine & Tool Maintenance: 19 Nos.
4. Machinist: 17 Nos.
5. Painter: 32 Nos.
6. Crane Operator: 4 Nos.
7. Electrician: 17 Nos.
8. Programming & System Administration Assistant: 2 Nos.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10 examination or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks AND ITI passed certificate in related Trade.

Age limit: Minimum 15yrs and maximum 24 years as on 01/01/2014. The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
For physically handicapped persons, upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.

Stipend: Stipend will be paid as per norms laid by Railway Board from time to time.

Training Period: Training will be of one year duration of all trades except Crane Operator. The duration of training period for Crane Operator is 02 years.

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of Act Apprentice for training will be done on the basis of merit list prepared from the candidates who have applied & eligible in reference to the notification. There will be no written exam or interview/oral exam in this selection.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of total marks obtained in 10thor its equivalent exam by a candidate
Call Letters will be sent to the eligible candidates, whose name appears on merit list, in due course.

The Application form must be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Age proof, Caste, Trade certificate and etc. Candidates must enclose 02 passport size photographs (one copy pasted on Application form and other on the call letter. Photograph must be attested by a Gazetted Officer).

Superscribe the application containing envelope with – “Application under Apprentice Act, 1961 for the year 2013-14 in Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi North Central Railway” 

Last Date of Application: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures must reach by ORDINARY POST only at the below address on or before 27/12/2013 (5.45PM).
Candidates may also drop his/her application form in the Drop-Box kept for the purposes in the office premises of below address.
