Parliamentary Interpreter and Hindi Assistant in Parliament of India, Joint Rec. Cell. Last Dt. 27/08/2012

Parliament of India, Joint Recruitment Cell, is recruiting 31 persons for the post of – Parliamentary Interpreter Grade—II and Hindi Assistant. Eligible candidates who meets the below mentioned qualification criteria may apply for the post of prescribed application format within scheduled date. Details in brief is given below. PARLIAMENTARY INTERPRETER AND HINDI ASSISTANT IN PARLIAMENT OF INDIA. ADVT.NO. 4/2012

1. Parliamentary Interpreter Grade—II: 2 Nos. (Marathi—1; Tamil—1)
Qualification: Master’s Degree in any discipline (but English as an medium of instruction in degree) OR Master’s Degree in English.
Desirable qualification: Certificate in Computer course and Experience in translation or interpretation work is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—Rs.39100 and Grade pay—Rs.5400

2. Hindi Assistant: 22 Nos. (Gen—22; OBC—3; SC—3; ST—1). Out of them 1 post is reserved for PH candidates.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level OR Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level OR Master Degree in any subject with Hindi and English as  subjects at Degree level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi medium and English as a subject at the Degree level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a subject at Degree level.
Pay scale: Rs.9300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay—Rs.4600

Selection Steps: —
For the post of – Parliamentary Interpreter; candidates will go through Oration test and Written Test. Written test will be of – (i) Translation from concerned language to English – 200 Marks and (ii) 50 Multiple choice objective type questions each on General Knowledge & Current Affairs; General English; and General regional language concerned – 150 Marks


For the post of Hindi Assistant: Selection will be through Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Preliminary Exam will be of 150 marks’ 150 Nos. multiple choice objective questions on – (i) General Knowledge and Current Affairs, (ii) General English and (iii) General Hindi 
Qualified candidates will sit of Main examination which will be of 200 marks on – (i)Translation of English to Hindi, (ii) Translation from Hindi to English, (iii) English Essay, Precise and Grammar and (iv) Hindi Essay, Precise and Grammar.
