Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, is recruiting 568 candidates for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts of – Sister, Jr. Technician (Lab), Jr. Technician (X-Ray) and Operation Theatre Assistant. 1. Sister Grade-II: 468 Nos. (Gen—232; SC—70; ST—41; OBC—125)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent and Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
Candidates shall be a registered ‘A’ grade Nurse and midwife with a State Nursing Council.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4600/-.
2. Junior Technician (Lab): 74 Nos. (Gen—31; SC—16; ST—03; OBC—24)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Lab. Technology OR B.Sc. with Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
3. Junior Technician (X-Ray): 21 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—03; ST—01; OBC—06)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-ray) / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radiology / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio-diagnosis/B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio-diagnosis & Imaging Technology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-.
4. Operation Theatre Assistant: 5 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—2)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Technology (Operation Theatre / Anaesthesia).
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2800/-.
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30yrs as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Online Examination. Date of ONLINE Examination and centers of examination will be uploaded on PGI website i.e. — www.pgimer.edu.in, in due course. The candidates are required to sit in the ONLINE examination, which will be held in Chandigarh, Delhi and Bangaluru.
The ONLINE examination would be of 1½ hours (90 minutes) duration and will consist of 170 marks (each question shall of 2 marks). There will be 85 multiple choice objective type questions.
On the basis of Written Examination, the merit list will be prepared. Such candidates will be required to produce their documents for verification. After scrutiny of documents, candidates will be called for Interview. The interview will consist of 30 marks.

Application Fee: Candidates will require to pay Application Fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500 for SC/ST candidates) through any branch of State Bank of India by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the PGIMER’s website.
After deposition of Application Fee, candidates must upload the fee challan on PGI Website. Please follow the instruction outlined in the officially released advertisement (See PDF below).
