Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh  is recruiting 155 candidates to the Group – A, B & C posts. Name of the post, No. of vacancies and qualification recruitment are as follows —
1. Senior Library & Information Officer: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Sc./M.A./M.Com and Master of Library Science. Candidates shall have 12 years experience in Supervisory capacity in a Library of repute. Knowledge of computerized system is desirable

2. Junior Engineer (Biomedical): 4 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in respective branch of Engineering OR Minimum 3 years diploma in respective branch of Engg. from a recognized Institute.

3. Junior Engineer (Instrumentation): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in Instrumentation branch of Engineering OR Minimum 3 years diploma in Instrumentation of Engg. from a recognized Institute.

4. Junior Engineer (Electrical): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in respective branch of Engineering OR Minimum 3 years diploma in respective branch of Engg. from a recognized Institute.

5. Junior Engineer (Horticulture): 1 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc in Agriculture/ Horticulture

6. Architectural Assistant: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matric or its equivalent & Diploma in Draftmanship with 3 years experience.

7. Junior Store Officer: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and Diploma in line Material Management. Candidates shall have one year experience in the field and shall have Diploma in Computer Application

8. Statistical Assistant: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate in Mathematics or Statistics and shall have 10yrs experience as Computer

9. Operation Theatre Assistant: 9 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Technology (Operation Theatre/ Anaesthesia)

10. Projectionist: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation with knowledge of Hindi and shall have experience of handling, minor and major repairing of all makes of projectors, battery and electric cinematography

11. Boiler Man Grade-II: 1 Nos.
Qualification: 2nd Class Certificate of competency from Chief Inspector of Boilers with 3 years experience.

12. Medical Record Technician: 50 Nos.
Qualification: Class 12 pass preferably in Science or equivalent and Certificate in Medical Record from a recognized Institute or authority issued after not less than 6 months training course.
Practical experience in the field is desirable.

13. CSR Assistant Grade-II: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Matric with Science and Certificate course of Operation Theatre Asstt. of one year duration OR Diploma in Operation Theatre Techniques

14. Junior House Keeper: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation and Experience in Store Keeping/public relations or estate management for not less than one year. OR A certificate or formal training in store keeping/ material management / public relations/house keeping

15. Dark Room Assistant Grade-III (X-ray): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma/ Certificate in Radiography of minimum 1 year duration.

16. Technician Grade-IV (Public Health): 23 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade.

17. Technician Grade-IV (Painter/ White Washer): 9 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade OR 5yrs experience in the respective field.

18. Technician Grade-IV (Mason): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade

19. Technician Grade-IV (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration): 25 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade

20. Technician Grade-IV (Biomedical): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade

21. Technician Grade-IV (Mechanical): 7 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade

22. Technician Grade-IV (Turner): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade

23. Technician Grade-IV (Caneman): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade OR Matric with certificate from a recognized Institute / Board or Authority with 5 years experience in respect of trades for which ITI Certificate / Training is not available.

24. Technician Grade-IV (Blacksmith): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with ITI Certificate in the respective trade OR Matric with certificate from a recognized Institute / Board or Authority with 5 years experience in respect of trades for which ITI Certificate / Training is not available.

25. Lift Operator Grade-II: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Matric with ITI Certificate in Electrical trade.

26. Asst. Store Keeper Grade-II: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate and experience in maintenance or handling of Stores accounts for 03 years.

Note: Candidates who have already applied against earlier advertisement (Advt. No.2/1010(Estt.I), 04/2010/(Estt.I), EV(9)2010-Nsg & Estt.I(2)) to the post of Senior Library & Information Officer, need not to apply anew. However such candidates may update their bio-data, if any, by sending the same at the below given address within last date of application.

AGE LIMIT:
i) For the post at Sr.No.1 is 40 years.
ii) For the post at Sr.No.2 to 26 is 18-30 years.
Age will be counted as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 5yrs and OBC is 3yrs.

PAY SCALE: 
Pay Band for Sr. No.1 is Rs. 15600-39100 + GP Rs.7600/-.
Pay Band for Sr. No.2 to 7 is Rs. 9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200/-.
Pay Band for Sr. No.8 to 10 is Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-.
Pay Band for Sr. No.11 & 12 is Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2400/-.
Pay Band for Sr. No.13 to 26 is Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.1900/-.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination which will be held in Chandigarh only. The date, examination centre and roll number instruction for candidate etc. will be intimated to the candidates in Admit Cards which will be available on the website of the PGIMER in due course.
The written examination of One and Half Hours duration will consist of 85 marks. There will be 85 multiple choice objective type questions. Each question will be of 1 mark. There will be no negative marking.
Candidates qualified in Written Examination will be called for Interview which will be of 15 marks. For details, see the below given URL.

Before filling up Online Application, a candidate must have his/her photograph scanned in the .jpg format.
After filling application form the candidate should take out a print of challan form (triplicate) and deposit the application fee in any State Bank of India branch. After depositing the fee, the candidates shall revisit the PGIMER website and shall upload the challan fee.
Only after uploading their fee payment challan (for fee verification), the online registration process will be complete.

Application Fee: Rs.1000/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates.
