Pay Scale: For all the posts at item no. 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Rs.9,000/- — Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/- for candidates with Master’s Degree and Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,700/- for candidates with Honors Degree.

QUALIFICATIONS : (a) Essential : (i) For posts at item no. 1(a) ,1(b) & 1(d), 2(a) to 2(d) & 2(f) to2(h), 3(a) & 3(b) & 4(a) to 4(e) & 5 Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree from a recognised University in appropriate subjects viz. English, Geography, Sanskrit, Bengali, History, Mathematics, Nepali, Physics, Chemistry & Hindi as the case may be. For post at Item No. 1(c) & 2(e) Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Zoology with Botany as a subsidiary subject in the Degree Course OR A Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Botany with Zoology as a subsidiary subject in the degree course OR A Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Physiology with Botany and Zoology as subsidiary subjects in the Degree Course. For posts at item No. 1(e) (Computer Application) – Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Computer Science/Master of Science in Computer Science; or Bachelor of Computer Applications/Master of Computer Applications OR Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Technology/Computer Science & Information Technology/Computer Science & Engineering OR Master of Engineering /Master of Technology in Computer Science & Technology/Computer Science & Information Technology/Computer Science & Engineering OR Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Major) or Master of Science in Information Technology (Major).

AGE : For all the posts at Sl. Nos. 1 to 5 : Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2013 relaxable upto 35 years for specially well qualified and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment in the Teaching branch of Education Department, West Bengal.

6. HONS. GRADUATE/POST GRADUATE ASSISTANT TEACHER (WOMEN) IN PHYSICS: 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification: A 2nd Class Honours or 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Physics and Knowledge of Bengali – Spoken & Written
AGE : Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2013 relaxable for the persons having higher qualifications and/or longer experience
PAY : For Hons. Graduate Rs. 9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,700/- and For Post Graduate Rs. 9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- Pay in the Pay Band Rs. 11,160/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,800/-.

7. AGRICULTURAL MARKETING OFFICER (ADMINISTRATIVE): 2 Nos. (OBC-A—1; ST—1)
Qualification: A Masters’ Degreee or Honours degree in Economics or Statistics or Commerce or Agriculture and One year experience in Agricultural Marketing or Statistical Surveys in an organization of repute. Knowledge of Bengali/Nepali – Spoken and Written.
Degree in Law is desirable. 
PAY : Rs. 9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade pay Rs. 4,700/-
AGE : Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2013 relaxable for persons having higher qualifications and/or longer experience

8. ASSISTANT CHEMICAL EXAMINER: 4 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC-B—1; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: A Second Class Master’s degree or B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry or Micro-Biology or equivalent and minimum 3yrs experience of analytical methods.
Age: maximum 32yrs as on 01.01.2013 relaxable for candidates having higher qualifications and/or longer experience
PAY: Rs.9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- plus Grade Pay Rs.4,700/-

9. SUB-EDITOR FOR SANTHALI LANGUAGE : 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: A degree from a recognized university and 2yrs experience as Sub-Editor or Working Journalist in any Media House of repute; OR 2yrs experience as Mass Communication Practitioner.
Knowledge, Experience and Ability to prepare original manuscripts in Santhali;
Age: 35 years on 01.01.2013 relaxable at the discretion of the Commission for candidates having higher qualification and or / longer experience
Pay: Rs. 9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade pay Rs. 4,400/- .

10. JUNIOR PROGRAMMER IN THE SECRETARIAT OF THE PSC, WEST BENGAL : 2 Nos. (SC—1; Gen—1)
Qualification: B.C.A. or B.Sc. in Computer Science with First Class or at least 60% of marks or its equivalent OR B.Sc. with DOEACC ‘A’ level Plus 1 year experience in Computer Programming.
Age: 35 years on 01.01.2013 relaxable at the discretion of the Commission, for candidates having higher qualifications and/or longer experience.

Application Fee: 
Candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs160/- only for all the posts by Indian Postal Order and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head ‚0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees‛.
The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata.

SC/ST/PH candidates of West Bengal are not required to pay Application Fee.
