APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 195 Nos.
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Fitter: 55 posts (UR-28, SC-08, ST-04, OBC-15, out of which PWD-02, EXSM-02)
ii) Welder (G&E): 50 posts (UR-25, SC-08, ST-04, OBC-13, out of which PWD-02, EXSM-02)
iii) Machinist: 17 posts (UR-09, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-05 out of which PWD-02, EXSM-02)
iv) Painter (G): 09 posts (UR-05, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02)
v) Carpenter: 16 posts (UR-09, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-04)
vi) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 06 posts (UR-03, SC-01, ST-02)
vii) Electrician: 28 posts (UR-14, SC-04, ST-02, OBC-08)
viii) Electronic Mechanic: 04 posts (UR-02, SC-01, OBC-01)
ix) AC & Ref, Mechanic: 10 posts (UR-05, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 505 marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.
Age Limit: Minimum-15 years and maximum-24 years as on 17/02/2018.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be based on Merit List and Medical Examination. Preference will be given to the candidates who have registered their names in the nearest Employment Exchanges (in Punjab State).
