1. JUNIOR TRAINEE
No. of Vacancies: 645 Nos.
Branch wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical: 344 posts (UR-174, OBC-103, SC-59, ST-08)
ii) Electrical: 203 posts (UR-105, OBC-58, SC-34, ST-06)
iii) Metallurgy: 98 posts (UR-49, OBC-29, SC-19, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Matric/SSC with full time ITI / Diploma in Engineering in the respective trades (60% marks in regular ITI / Diploma in Engineering for Gen/OBC candidates, 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
Note: Female candidates may apply in Electrical Branch only.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-27 years as on 01/03/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.16, 800 – Rs.24,110
2. FIELD ASSISTANT TRAINEE
No. of Vacancies: 91 Nos. (UR-46, OBC-25, SC-14, ST-06)
Educational Qualification: Matric /SSC from a recognized Board.
Additional qualification: Intermediate, ITI.
Note – Only male candidates may apply.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-27 years as on 01/03/2017.
Pay Scale: RS.15,830 – Rs.22,150
Note: Preference will be given to Displaced Persons (DPs) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 150 cm; Chest (unexpanded) — 75 cm; Chest (expanded) — 80 cm; Weight — 45 kgs
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 143 cms; Chest — 75 cm; Chest (expanded) — 80 cm; Weight — 35 kgs
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Test and Certification Verification. Written Test will be held at Andhra Pradesh on 9/07/2017.
Selected candidates will be on training period of two years. During Training, Junior Trainees will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.10,700/- for first year and a monthly stipend of Rs.12,200/- for second year and Field Assistant Trainee Rs.8,600/- during first year and Rs.10,000/- for Second years.
