Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is recruiting 117 Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General) – Direct Recruitment (DR). Advt.No. 5A/2013-14. Eligible and interested candidates may apply for the vacancies through online mode application (See the URL below). Selection of the candidates will be through Examination and Interview. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —
OFFICERS in Grade ‘B’ (General) (Direct Recruitment)
Number of Vacancies: 117 Nos. (Gen—58; SC—15; ST—08; OBC—36). Out of total vacancies, 4 reserved for PWD candidates.
Educational Qualification:
First Class Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade, in aggregate.
OR
A Second Class Master’s Degree with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate.
OR
A Doctorate Degree; with minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate in Master’s Degree
OR
Chartered/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor’s Degree.
OR
A Post Graduate Diploma in Management / MBA qualification, with Graduation/ Bachelor’s Degree.
NOTE: SC/ST/PWD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters / years in Bachelor’s Degree examination: OR having a Post-graduate Degree or equivalent recognized qualification, are eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Minimum 21yrs and maximum 30yrs as on 01/06/2014, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/06/1984 and not later than 01/06/1993. Upper age limit will be extended for candidates who have M.Phil and Ph.D and for candidates who have experience as an officer (See PDF below for details)
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Examinations and Interview. Examinations will be held in two phases — Phase-I will be Online Examination (Objective Type) and Phase-II will be Written Examination (Descriptive type).

Examination will be at various centres available in the country. For West Bengal, the examination centre will be at— Kolkata, Greater Kolkata, Howrah, Hoogly, Berhampore, Durgapur, Kalyani and Siliguri.
Application Fee & Intimation Charges: Rs.850/- for General and OBC candidates, Rs.100/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
Fee can be paid through Online or Offline mode. Debit/Credit or Net banking can be used to pay fee through Online mode or Fee payment Challan can be used for offline mode. In case of offline mode of fee payment, Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of the listed banks (See PDF)

After successful submission of online registration, a registration number and password will be generated. Candidates should note their registration number and password.
