Steel Authority of India (SAIL), IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur (West Bengal) is recruiting 219 candidates for Non-Executive Posts. viz.- Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) in the following discipline—Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical. OPERATOR-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
Number of Vacancies: 219 Nos. (Gen—77; SC—61; ST—16; OBC—65). Out of them 7 for PWD and 31 for Ex-Servicemen.

 

Distribution of vacancies as per discipline wise —

1. Metallurgy: 46 posts.
Qualification: Matriculation with 3 years full time Diploma in Metallurgy Engineering

2. Mechanical: 107 posts.
Qualification: Matriculation with 3 years full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

3. Chemical: 10 posts.
Qualification: Matriculation with 3 years full time Diploma in Chemical Engineering

4. Electrical: 56 posts.
Qualification: Matriculation with 3 years full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering

 

Age Limit: maximum 28yrs as on 01-01-2015. Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates & JK domiciled candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per govt. norms.

 

Candidates should meet the minimum prescribed physical standards. See PDF file given below for details.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height—155cms; Weight—45kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—75cms/79cms.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height—143cms; Weight—35kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—70cms/ 73cms.
Eye Sight— 6/9 with both eyes in distant vision with or without glasses. Should be free from color blindness.

 

Consolidated Pay: During training of period of two years Rs.10700/- and Rs.12200/- per month will be paid in first year and second year respectively.

Application Fee: The candidates belonging to the General and OBC category will be required to pay an Application and Processing Fee of Rs. 250/-.SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application & Processing Fees.
Fee can be paid by means of Fee payment challan through SBI or can be paid online using Credit/Debit card or internet banking. See officially released advertisement for more details.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip will unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain the same safely for future correspondence. Do not send the print-out to SAIL.
