OPERATOR-CUM-TECHNICIAN (OCT) TRAINEE
Number of Vacancies: 14 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—1; ST—3; OBC—1). Out of them 1 reserved for PWD and 2 for Ex-Servicemen.
Discipline wise vacancies —
1. Chemical: 2 posts.
2. Civil: 3 posts.
3. Electrical: 2 posts.
4. Mechanical: 2 posts.
5. Metallurgy: 4 posts.
6. Refractory/ Ceramics: 1 post.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and three years full time Diploma in engineering in any of the following discipline – Metallurgy / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Chemical / Ceramics.
Age Limit: Maximum 28yrs in case of General candidates. Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates, 5yrs for J&K domiciled candidates and age relaxation for PWD & Ex-servicemen will be as per govt. norms.
Physical Standards:-
(i) For Male candidates: Height—155cm; Weight – 45 kgs (Minimum), Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded)—75cm/ 79cms
(ii) For Female candidates: Height—143cms; Weight – 35 kgs (Minimum), Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded)—70cm/ 73cms
Eye Sight – 6/9 in Distant vision with eyes (with or without glasses). Color vision should be normal. No color blindness. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Scale (After completion of two years’ training period): Rs.16800 —24110. During training period, consolidated pay will be Rs.10700/- and Rs.12200/- in first and second year respectively.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. Exact date and venue of examination/ interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
Written Test will be held at Ranchi and Kolkata.
